I'm guessing I can't be the only one, but I pick worlds by the day of the week that the recruits first respond to scouting and cv requests. There are certain days of the week that I would not be able to respond during the critical first two 3 hour time blocks. In the past when they shut things down for a day they adjusted the GD worlds so it would fall back into the same day of the week for recruiting starts. I have no idea if these new owners will be able to do this. It would have been nice if they actually asked the players on this site if changing the day of the week for recruiting in GD would be problem. Also Dobie is being pushed back 2 days and looks like other worlds are only getting pushed back 1 day. I hope they rectify this situation. Anybody else choose worlds by the day of the week recruiting starts on?

Did Wilkinson move as well? I thought recruiting started on a Monday, now it’s Wednesday.

Wilkinson also says that recruiting ends Wednesday Dec 25th at 12:01 PM. Doesn't it usually end at midnight?

Looks like while recruiting moved 2 days, the first game of the regular season only moved 1 here in Dobie. Friday instead of Thursday.

No matter, it is still a problem if the day of the week that the first responses come in for recruiting is pushed back a day. I won't be the only one that won't be able to play in some worlds because there are things going on in my life that prohibit me from having the time to spend on that particular day. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has work, family, and recreation commitments on a particular day of the week.

Guess you would have to find a world that fits your schedule

I presume that WIS will delete one of the days from the upcoming job change or new coaches periods, to keep the important recruiting days on the same day of the week as they always have been.

If they do, it would be a change from past SOP

Here is an update: The following was sent to me yesterday after i sent in a ticket on this subject:

"This was something we knew some users in GD did. I personally am also a GD user so I know the importance the days of the week are for recruiting in a world. We will have discussions as a staff to see if we can figure out a solution for this. I can't promise anything either way but we will have discussions."

I give the new owners credit for responding to me on this subject.

I get the frustration, but it has been the SOP for these type of maintenance issues etc in the past to simply move the date backward and then proceed forward per normal thus adjusting the day of the week by one or even two days. I am guessing it would take a massive lift to adjust all worlds for example by a day. The only alternatives are what we are doing, or pause all for a significant amount of time (aka reduce revenue). IMHO that is.

Just for this season, eliminate the third day of the job change period (day 35 of the standard 35-day season). That puts all the worlds back on the same day-of-the-week calendar for future seasons.

I have no idea how to do it. I just assumed that this could be done relatively easily, but it could be more difficult then I assume.

Well holdaway, unfortunately they did not do the SOP of past new owners. Camp just rolled over and the day of first response for recruiting was pushed back a day. It would have been an easy thing to do in each world but obviously it was too much for the clowns that took over this game with total disregard to current owners. I have enjoyed this game over the years but I have commitments on the days they are changing the worlds I play in to. I won't go through the time it takes to work up to getting a good D1 job. I will miss the friends I have on here.
