How many WAA players are there? 6? 12? 40?

Come on, if you play in high cap leagues, pitchers get rocked. That is how it has and does work.

Ya, 22.0 innings pitched is a small sample size for a WAA league. I've noticed that most of the pitchers people complain about are relief pitchers. You never see someone post a 250 inning Maddux with a huge ERA. I never even pay attention to a pitchers ERA until they've pitched 100 innings.

It also looks like bad luck in terms of WHIP vs ERA. A 1.55 WHIP will usually result in a 5-6 ERA. That tells me that the hits he did give up were given up in just a few big innings. Ought to even out.

...60/20 WAA makes a 40 mil cap pretty meaningless...carlos has faced 100 batters which is like a hitter with 100 PA...very small sample size...he's also had 6 games where he was charged with 2 or more earned runs...of those 16 ERs, 9 actually scored with other pitchers on the mound...his OPS allowed is just below your team's average, he's just getting screwed by the pitchers who replace him...

Got a little secret for you- things play out alot differently in live leagues than they do in sim leagues. I have played plenty of both.

I have always felt that there was some sort of "levelling" going on with the sim to keep things competitive. Certain players who for no reasonable reason stink whereas generally they've been productive. But it's getting out of hand.

I posted a thread about 1990 Eckersley before getting shelled for no earthly reason. Others as well were experiencing this.

My latest example on the WiS product being blatantly slanted is from a $40mil WAA AAA league where I have the immortal Cisco Carlos. A league where Mike MacDougal, Chad Bradford and Mellie Wolfgang are studs for me. I am in 1st place as well by a reasonable margin, but have to take issue with the product.

How does Cisco Carlos produce this statline, in this league at this cap thru 91 games:

C. Carlos 67R37000225622.024212101016.267.340.3221.558.59

Statistically speaking, if anything the sim is biased towards keeping players in-line with their stats. I published p-chart stats before on batting and at a 95% confidence interval a .300 hitter may hit anywhere from .263 to .337 in a "neutral" environment over 600 PAs. For Cisco Carolos, I'd similarly calculate his oavg could be anywhere from .104 to .238 in a "neutral" environment. Throw in the generally acepted idea that the simm tends to favor hitters; and your league, with all those WAA AAA, is a pretty tough one, and those numbers don't seem to be so out of whack.
