It may not matter as much in D-1 because even at that level you have players that are undersized who can dominate a given position.
But at the D-III level it does matter...
I went to a D-III School and despite having more athletic bigs at around 6'5", our biggest challenge was always the team in our conference that had the less coordinated and less skilled 6'10" kid. He presented matchup nightmares and foul trouble problems. It would be nice to see the SIM reflect such size advantages.
Speaking strictly on a D-III level size truly does matter when it comes to the PF-C position..
It is already built into the ratings and accounted for.
For instance, if you have two identical centers who would otherwise both be a 65 reb, but one is 7 feet and the other is 6'8', the 7-footer would end up with the better rebounding rating.
