just wanted to post for anybody who doesn't know, lostmyth just came 1 game away from a d1 3peat, with his phelan UNC squad. that is one hell of a run, and probably the greatest of the potential era. so congrats lostmyth, that is damn impressive!

Same here. I wonder if the rest of the area powers are ready to battle him this recruiting season. We'll see. His success in avoiding battles going for the absolute top recruits is simply incredible.

Congrats to LM on yet another awesome run/team. while this is indeed impressive, i still vote the greatest post-potential run goes to clone77, who has done this in Naismith's D1 the last 8 seasons (32-39):

NC, 2nd rd, Elite 8, Runner Up, Runner Up, NC, E8, NC

5 title game appearances with 3 wins, 2 elite 8s, and a 2nd-round loss.

I think the big difference is that Clone77 doesnt get to hand pick his recruits as his conference mates continously battle him for recruits...obviously its not all about the players and to get to 3 straight National Title games Lost is doing something the rest of us havent figured out...BUT the nods gotta go to Clone...Lost continues to hand pick his players season to season with zero fight...I think this season hes recruiting a player in SEC country over 600 miles from his school and no one is putting up a fight...its a testament to him that no one dares take him on but I agree with Wronjo..

I think it's funny that you assume the fact that no one wants to fight me has nothing to do with how I recruit. You have a lot to learn.

Not including carryover dollars (which I'm guessing are very sizable), Lost has well over $100K at his disposal this recruiting session. As the coach of Maryland, I would love to see him have battles for every player, but any *smart* coach is going to look elsewhere. Sorry to break it to you.

I love when coaches ***** about other coaches not having big enough balls to battle other teams.

mmt, you look like you're really flexing your muscles at Wisconsin. I'm sure the rest of the coaches in the region are thrilled that you're preventing Northeastern and Wisconsin-Milwaukee from running roughshod over them.

Like I said on another thread, I was recruiting for tdvy in Knight, decided to battle LM2 for the #1 player.

Seemed like the best possible situation to win if any because I had a TON of money. Yes LM had a A+ to B+ prestige and then a distance advantage but not too much.

From the sitemials tdvy sent LM spent around 25K, while I spent over 40K more...

And I lost, **** I thought I was dominating the battle..

LM2 is a scary good recruiter

I think its funny that people read what they want to read...Reread what I wrote above...specifically the end and tell me what you think I meant...Its not a slight at you...not in the least...nor is my thinking that another great coaches mini recent run might be more impressive...I think I speak for the entire HD community when I say we'd all like to reach your level...

I love when people read something that someone else says, take it completely out of context and decide to get insulting on a stupid thread about a game. Who *******? I could care less about what Lost does in recruiting and was commenting on the subject. My team is not in his conference, not in his region and not competing with him on any level.

LOL you obviously havent seen me recruit for one; and two as of this season I'm not recruiting in Phelan; was going to drop the world decided to keep it and run the team with a friend of mine. (which is why I Pitt even though they were in a much better position all around)He's recruiting, I'm doing everything else. If you want to make retarded comments about my gameplanning at Wisonsin or anywhere else feel free. But take all recruiting comments to your conference mate Sully712 as he's the one recruiting; I believe he has a pretty good handle on what he's doing.

Whats even funnier is had you bothered to look at this past go around in Tark, when I actually tried to battle with an A+ UNC which led to two other teams doing the same (didn't work out for me but really not the point) you're comments are that much more off base.
