From all the people who said my team could not win out of the -5.

I have all but abandoned playing the -5 this year, and I am having one of my best years ever.

I was always to afraid to drop the -5. Kind of tlast year so I was experimenting. Realized that the -5 meant nothing to my team. Went into this year committed to only going -5 for special occasions.

Apologies do not have to be formal.

You should apologize to yourself for causing your team to underachieve for all of those seasons. Well played. Try +5 for the next decade of gameplanning.

Interesting that all the people that stood in line to blast me when I was using the -5 are silent now.

Hypocrites!

Just for the record I won a national championship using +5 all season.

Swamp, it could be your own hypocrisy.

For years you've staunchly claimed that the -5 wasn't helping you glitch your way along, ridiculing anyone who deigned to suggest otherwise. Then in your first post, you finally admitted you were "always afraid to drop the -5". What's hilarious is you don't even realize when you're embarrassing yourself (and/or contradicting yourself).

You were helped by some very fortunate non-con scheduling. You're 8-7 in the Big Ten. If you think that's worthy of starting an entire thread to scream from the rooftops, I don't know what to say. I guess you've got low expectations.

The Big Ten is tough, some people cant hadle it and go to smaller Conferences.

I have an RPI of 23, and I am looking at a shot at the NT.

1 I never said the -5 didnt help me. I always believed that I built a team that played better under the -5. I was scared to let my people play a more open style of Basketball.

2 I will never admit to a -5 glitch. The evidence is overwhelming that it is a myth. I didnt glitch along, I Won on my merits!

I realize that none of this will crack that coconut of yours. You want to hate and spread crap so go on, take your best shot!

Swamp, if you're going to attempt taking a shot at someone, there should at least be a kernel of truth to it. (I know truth isn't your specialty, but still.) Does this look like the resume of someone who "can't handle it" (from when I was @ MSU, where you were about 1-10 against me):

25girt2531-412-110-39-013-311A+CT Champion
National Champion
24girt2527-612-110-35-214-253A+Conf Champion

If "winning on your merits" means winning exactly zero NT games in 13 seasons, then yes, swamp, you've won on your merits. Perfectly put.

I do appreciate you making yourself such an easy target. Hugs, kisses and Happy Thanksgiving.

You didnt hear the touge in cheek when I said you ran to a smaller conference. I phrased it as in-offensive as possible, what does smaller mean, all have 12 teams. The other stuff was serious but the 1st paragraph was clearly a joke.

Wonder where you got all this bitterness inside. I barely remember talking to you at all before you ran away to that wimpy Conference (See...humor).

The real point to this thread was a lot of people claimed that I only won because of the -5. That it was a glitch that made me win games I shouldnt.

That whole concept was proved false.

So now that I have abandoned the -5 as my primary setting, and still have the same type of team, and continue to win, shouldnt I get all the people who were quick to slam my team, like Dalter, to step up with the same passion and admit the error of their ways?
11/28/2009 1:24 PM
I'm more interested in you pronouncing your idiocy as a coach for believing that you couldn't win without the -5. So who really thought it was a glitch, them or you?
