I cannot get my d3 Pf to perform I am at a loss. I dont expect 20+ minutes a game but there is not reason for this guy to not perform above avg for 17 minutes a game?

Its under this id if it helps to view. I dont remember what his hs stats were but he should be good for d3

No offense but if there was a D4 he might dominate but he's middle of the pack for D3. He might have too much distro and you've played almost all of your games on the road which makes for .050 lower in FG pct.

ur being sarcastic right? I won a d3 title with a pf similar in all areas except stamina
12/11/2009 2:15 PM
Yeah, but that team was ludicrous. You were stacked everywhere. His ath is obviously great, but he's really not that special anywhere else. He is kind of stuck in the middle between a wing and a post player, but he's not really great anywhere. I agree, he should be playing better, but his terrible BH is probably a lot of the reason for that. I think he's one of those guys that you put at PF and don't give a huge distro to - he should be able to get a decent amount of rebounds and putbacks.
12/11/2009 2:24 PM
I know he isnt great but I expected him to shoot .450 from the field and get 3.5-5 reb a game in 17-20 minutes but he performes so bad I cant afford to keep trying him. He is a guy i expected to be a good backup pf and sf for 17-20 a game but he makes me wanna cut his ***.

Ot but I always forget send me a game invite in d2 isack

No sarcasm here. At D3 I want 50+ as a minimum, not average, in the cores for guys I'm starting.

And on stamina...how do you work your fatigue settings? Is he based on minutes or fatigue? B/c if its minutes...he's set too high.

Either way I think its 3 things: 1) a stamina issue, 2) he's pretty average from a rating perspective, and 3) you've played a lot of games on the road where stats can suffer.

I went through some of your box scores and I could barely find a time when he was even in the game when they gave the fatigue updates. And the times he was there, he was orange once and yellow the other time.

I'd dial back his distro, definitely use fatigue for subbing, and try to get him out of your starting lineup. He's just not good enough when he's tired to compete with the front courts you're facing. And he's a turnover machine with 7 BH in at the SF spot in a motion offense.

In d3 home/road are almost equal in fact ive never seen a difference in the 2 excpet in d1

I only started him this season when the matchup was ok. Last season he was horrible off the bench or starting. I have had sf's in the past with low BH and even in 17-20 minutes he should (i think) shoot at least .450 from the field.

This guy is similar and what i expect am I out of line?

Why would you expect him to be shooting better than that? A player with slightly below average SPD/PE and completely awful BH should not be taking over 60% of their shots from behind the 3 point line.

He is shooting 50% inside the arc, 20% outside. Dial him back to a -1 or -2 and he should increase the shooting percentage.

He is set at -1 and has been all except his fr season I had him at -2. I can excpet that he sucks i just wanna make sure its not just me that feels this way

On the cores comment...so say you count Ath, Def, Reb, LP as the cores for a big man. Your guy averages 50 across those 4 but I'd want him to have a minimum of 50 in each.

On the home/road...don't sleep on the difference in home/road FG pct across divisions. People talk about the D1 stuff but I have years of D2 data and it consistently comes out at least 5 pts lower in FG pct.

On the last comment...I hear what you're saying...but you've played some pretty good teams on the road and he's been mostly at SF where BH does impact FG pct. Also, if you take out the Sul Ross game where he was plainly overmatched by the guy guarding him he's shooting 40%. And, like ACN says, he's jacking up 3s, has low PER, and 3s is where BH impacts your SF.

Im gonna set him to -2 and let him be the 3rd off the bench. Thx guys I appreciate it

I'm not saying the guy sucks but I'm saying that if you want him to be productive you might want to tweak how you're using him. I hate to ever admit that isack could be right but I'd listen to him (even though he just blew a golden chance at the D2 title in Allen) and be using him as a Dennis Rodman-type - letting him hit the boards and get putbacks.
