arizona is an elite school, if i remember correctly (meaning a+ baseline prestige). and you have fewer than 300 wins. i believe 200 wins is a huge mark in getting higher quality d1 jobs, from personal experience. so i would imagine 300 wins might be a fairly crucial point in getting the top tier of jobs?
also, if WIS is going to treat arizona like a kentucky or north carolina in terms of prestige, i have no problem with them treating arizona the same way in terms of the coaches who should be guaranteed the job, if no better applicant goes for it. in real life, a guy with an elite 8 loss, pit champ, nt round 2 loss, nt round 1 loss, without much experience, would probably be a long shot to coach kentucky or north carolina. so fundamentally, i don't object to WIS making you a long short to arizona. however, i do think after a world gets old enough, the threshold for getting those kind of jobs should go down, because the sim is such a terrible coach. no reason to drive those programs into the ground :O but all in all, i wouldn't get the pitchforks and torches out yet :)
sorry to hear your plight though, i'm sure arizona would find they made the right decision if they decided to hire you :)
