MGraham, going into S15, has 58 PP and 41 pitchers available for nomination. At first glance, there may be 3-4 that will have any chance in hell. Can't see the auto-noms yet but it looks like WifS did pretty well on the requirements.

And the screen looks very, very managable.

Looks like a good job.

Agreed. My only gripe is that players are listed by the position they were at when they retired, and not the position they spent the most time at in their career.

Yeah, maybe they'll change it to show where they played the most games.

patrick?

Or where they played the most innings.

We are only displaying the player's primary position. We aren't going to change that at this time for performance reasons.

How do you nominate a player? World Moneyball is in between Budget day and Rule 5 day, and while there is an action column, there is no nominate button there (not that any of the guys deserve nomination, just curious if it is working right)

oh never mind, he has to have played on your own franchise! I get it now!

Eligibility requirements for user nominations:

From the 1/19 announcement:

Position players: 10+ years of ML experience with 300+ PA per season.

From the 1/25 announcement:

We are not going to account for players that had ML years generated upon world creation. Eligibility is strictly based on the seasons in which they played.

But it looks like they went with the original specs because Julio Lee is showing up in the Mantle nomination page. He had 13 years of ML service, 4100+ PA's, but only played 7 HBD seasons.

I'm assuming the same holds true for pitchers, but I'm not going to check.

it looks great overall. the position listing is a problem though. you have career 2B listed as 1B, CF listed as LF etc. all due to playing a different position for a season or two late in their career. can't believe its that hard to fix.

tec,

I think what happens is if you take his 4100+ PA's and give him 3 years of 0 PA's, he still hits the 300+ PA's per season for 10 seasons.

I don't think so for pitchers, tec. John Woo didn't make our nomination page in Mays. As a two-time Cy Young (as an SP) and two-time Fireman of the Year winner, he is a big snub.

Looks like you can also nominate from the players profile page as well.

If that's the case, then I'd actually rather not see a player's position shown on the page. That can give people false impressions about a player, since most of them are forced to change positions as they near retirement due to sharply declining fielding ratings.

I agree, because based upon his actual HBD seasons, he averaged 165 innings, so he should have qualified.

Although this guy isn't anything near HOF material, it's almost silly that he's listed as a 1B on the nomination page:

http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=563359

He played almost 800 games in CF and 4 at 1B. That really should be fixed in the next update.
