I want to ask opinions on this. What are some suggestions as to what an owner should do if there is a suspected tanker(s) in a particular world? I am new to the world but it strikes me odd when a team goes from 81 wins one season to 45 and the 2nd overall pick the next. Add to that a new owner prior to the 45 wins and it reaks of a tank job. There is another team that had 36 and 48 wins in consecutive seasons, both with a new owner prior to the 36 win season. I don't want to just walk away because I've already paid for the season but are there options to get rid of these owners?

If it's a private world, talk to the commish. They can remove anyone they want. If it's a public world, there's nothing you can do, because WIS doesn't give a damn. That's pretty much it.

I went from about 100 wins last season in one world.. now I have 64 wins and probably only going to win maybe 72.. I traded my older ML players for prospects and fielded the best team i could off FA and out of my AAA.. Make sure that's not what happened..

Now the owners with 36-48 wins are unacceptable.. ANYONE can win 50-60 games if they are fielding the best team they can.

Going from 100 to 72 isn't exactly the same as going from .500 to 45 wins. The guy was dealing for 2-3 year ML players and demoting them to the minors so he would lose more games and stop the ARB clock on those guys. I called him on it at the end of last season (after I took over a team mid-season) and he laughed at me to prove it.

Just contact the commish. He'll handle it.

who was it?

usually if you talk to a previous owner and they have nothing to hide, they will give you their 'explanation' as to what happened.

sounds like this person could care less about the team and/or what you think of them

Timf, there is no definition of tanking.

Therefore, there is no rule against tanking.

There is also no rule against taking a step back in order to take two steps forward. In fact, it can be a winning strategy. (That is why some people are against it -- it can be a strategy that will knock them off their thrones).

Once people realize all these things they can save a lot of brain damage arguing things that don't exist.
