anyone ever have this happen? i signed an INTL reliever with a stamina of 13 and i did not get a chance to set his player settings but set him to play via my phone to get hm started. the automatic settings are NONE/NONE on TPC and MPC so he proceeded to throw 127 pitches in his first game and has now sat 10+ HBD days and is still 0/0

kind of stinks cause i'd like to have pitch to get better

seems minor but he was a big signing and i hate seeing him on the bench

You assigned him. You shouldn't have done that until you had time to set a PC.

Why do you consider this a bug?

You neglected (doesn't matter what your reasons are) to give him appropriate pitch count settings, and then you got burned because of it.

You probably shouldn't have assigned him if you were not in a position to get him fully set up.

Just because his one arm is now 6 inches longer than the other is no problem. Just put him on the rack to even them up.

i would think having all players coming with a default setting that somewhat mirrors there abilities would make more sense. a bug is perhaps too strong of a word perhaps but i think there's more logic in him having a natural TPC than me having to set it.

i understand your points and their valid as the game is currently set up - but at the same time, when you travel a lot of can only hit the game for 5-10 minutes on your phone it'd be nice to know that not being able to do some housecleaning on your roster doesn't mean someone pitches to a near death experience

even more horrible AA pitching coach would have pulled him half way there :)

Yes, it was your responsibility to set his pitch counts before you made him an active participant on a team. However, I am a little surprised that considering all of the other ways that they try to idiot/noob proof things in this game that pitchers wouldn't come in with some recommended settings.

The OP messed up but I think like some other here that none/none is a pretty extreme setting to have as the default.

i agree, pretty extreme to have 0/0 set as default, one would think players would be set at something close to their recs...this is something i can imagine gets overlooked by people (particularly newbs) from time to time...the downside is disastrous

yes and to be clear - i'm not saying the issue or "bug" is that he should only throw 15-20 pitches as a default, it's that he threw 127 pitches with a 13 STA - there's no logic in that on any level of realism...even the laziest, worst coach in RL or HBD would have some semblance of a natural default that didn't nearly kill someone's arm...

just a shade of common sense and reality would be fine - i make the mistake yes but maybe the punishment is that he throws 60 pitches and has to sit 5-6 days or whatever...but 127 is, in my opinion, the "bug" part of it...

you can argue i made the mistake of assigning and not putting the info in and i won't argue with that - i did make that mistake

i'm saying it would be more realistic (and user friendly to those of us who travel a lot) to default at least a more believable AND realistic mid point

I'm not trying to criticize. I'm just curious what role he was in. Did you get hit by the perfect storm? Did he give up 65 runs in one/two innings?

It's not the end of the world. He threw six innings and didn't get hurt. With that 48/13 D/S combo, you probably weren't getting more than 6 IP from him over the same time period anyway. He'll develop just fine.
