Equal Opportunity League I

I was doing some yardwork yesterday when I stubbed my toe on a metal box. One corner of the box was barely sticking out of the ground so I unearthed the rest of it. It was manuscripts by my boy Al Einstein from back in the day! Explaining space-time continuum and the pre-cursor to the super-string theory.
Anyhow, I've figued out how to manipulate the six dimensions that comprise our existence. I roamed back to nineteen seventy eight and kid-napped Moses Malone, then traveled to nineteen seventy six. In nineteen seventy six I poisoned the disgruntled, moody Moses Malone and replaced him with the nineteen seventy eight version. Then the vibrant, offensive rebounding machine from nineteen seventy eight stepped into the Buffalo Braves line-up in nineteen seventy six and led them to the NBA championship!

I'm willing to share my knowledge of time travel with twenty three other competent owners. This league will be an all-time franchise league where you can use any season of any player who played in at least one game for your team. You can use any season of that player, regardless if the season you choose to use was with your franchise or not. All seasons of your franchise (you can use Rasheed Wallace for the Boston since he signed there this off-season) are available.
Artis Gilmore, old and decrepid for the Celtics will now be looming, rebounding giant Artis Gilmore for the Celtics. Lazy and out of shape Shawn Kemp of the Orlando Magic now becomes high-flying slam dunk machine Shawn Kemp for the Magic. You get the picture.

Once 24 owners have decided to join we will have a draft to decide teams. We will use this to decide draft order.

Rules

1.) DRAFT a franchise. You get any player who appeared in at least one game on that team in the history of the team. But you can use any season for that player, regardless of whether they played for your team or not (//www.basketball-reference.com/teams/), any year of that player that you like. No clones.
2.) You must use a arena from your franchise.
3.) You get $47 Mil to make your team, not the standard $42 mil.
4.) Must use a team name in franchise history. Keep it simple, EX: Oklahoma City Thunder, New Orleans Hornets, New York Nets.

in despite the retardedly strict naming restrictions. I would appeal to at least let us use old franchise names if we want (buffalo braves, new york nets).

Alright. I just thought it would be cool picturing todays Clippers with Moses or todays Thunder with Shawn Kemp or whatever. No biggie.

Didn't you say that was one thing you liked? The strict naming? Too funny

no, I'll take the Lakers

ps - probably draft is better

pps - used to be 47m and salary structure hasnt changed in 2 years (from what I've read)

I think draft is the best way to do it. That encourages the league to fill on up after the first 12 or 16 owners are in/teams are taken.

And no, the name thing is the only thing I've always hated about the league. I absolutely loathe being told what to name my team. It actually keeps me out of several theme leagues. This one was always my favorite theme league, though, so I'm in no matter what.

$47M would be ideal with this salary structure IMO. $52M is too much, though most teams are still competitive. $42M will make it too much like an OL, imo, but I'm in with either of the three caps.

I am down with whatever the majority wants.

ash, monkee used a draft I take it, was that better(is it needed)? Did it take longer to fill?
