League Name: Contraction GM Challenge v5

Description: For version five, we will use is 1994. This league will consist of 16 teams. The draft order for team selection is reverse order of win% from the previous season at game 120 (new owners pick last). Each owner will select one team from the 1994 season (8 AL and 8 NL teams must be selected).

Once the 16 teams are selected, there will be a player dispersal draft, where players from undrafted teams will be selected. The draft order for each round is based on inverse real-life regular season record. But not all teams will have a draft pick in every round.

Here's how the draft will work:

Teams with real-life win% .500 to .599 will start drafting in round 2
Teams with real-life win% .600 and up will start drafting in round 3

Teams with real-life win% <.400 will draft 8 players
Teams with real-life win% .400 to .449 will draft 7 players
Teams with real-life win% .450 to .499 will draft 6 players
Teams with real-life win% .500 to .549 will draft 5 players
Teams with real-life win% .550 to .599 will draft 4 players
Teams with real-life win% .600 and up will draft 3 players

The total number of players drafted depends on the teams selected (approx. 80 players will be selected). Only players from the teams not selected are eligible to be taken. AL teams can take NL players and vice-versa.

$$$ Bonus: In order to make things more interesting, I will donate my theme league creator $$$ credit to the team that has the best differential between the sim regular season win% and the team's real-life win%.

Subsequent Years:The team that has the best record at the 120-game mark will get to choose the season that is used for the next iteration of this theme (after I survey how many owners are returning). The draft order for teams for the next iteration will be in inverse order of sim win% at the 120-game mark. In case of ties, I will use the sim expected win%. Any new owners will pick last.

Multi-team players: I only want one occurance of a player in the league, so for players with multiple teams, only the full-season "player card" will be eligible and the team that he played for last during the season will get ownership of that player. For example, 2009 Matt Holliday belongs to the St. Louis Cardinals.
