One of the requirements WIS has for joining a new world is that an owner cannot leave an existing world to do so. I had all the owners confirm their understanding of that rule prior to signing up for Kenny Powers.  I'd send a ticket to see if they are willing to enforce that rule.

Or get a hold of the commissioners of these worlds, and they should be more than happy to enforce that rule. There is no shortage of owners that would be willing to take his place. And, are these new worlds green lighted?

You know they can't/won't enforce that rule.

"But, Mr. ADMIN, I was very busy around June 15th and just couldn't keep up.    However, my company hired 3 new people on June 22nd and I had more free time."

"No, WifS user, that is unacceptable.  We will not take your money!!"

Name names.

Someone could.  But you're the one who has a problem with what happened.

You posted in your world chat exactly what happened, no reason not to post the name here if you are going to start a call-out thread.

If the worlds arent up yet, they can enforce it.  For new worlds, they verify the owners and push the button to start the world. I do think the better route to take is to get with the commish if the worlds havent started yet. I know when I was starting Powers I paid close attention because I didnt want any issues that would delay or halt the world creation.

They are losing money, assuming that mtorabaddy would have stayed in his existing worlds if he wasnt joining the new worlds. They should have incremental sales of 2 teams, now they are gaining nothing.

So wll you report mtorbaddy?    How will you handle it as commish since you're suggesting any new commishes do their due diligence?

So when does it become okay for someone to drop one of their teams if they are in a new world?
6/22/2010 11:01 AM
Supposedly owners in new worlds have to commit to three seasons(which is almost as funny as "no dropping old worlds to join new ones").   So, if that is even somewhat true, the answer is "You can't drop an old world until you've fulfilled your committment to a new world."

I'm dying to know how that would get enforced.
6/22/2010 11:14 AM
The requirement was very vague. 3 seasons was never given as a requirement to me when recruiting owners. Just that a user cant leave an existing world to join the New world.

I am commish of Powers - One of the new worlds that he is in. Its possible that he plans on leaving Powers, I certainly will ask him what the deal is. Not having gone through all the owners, Im certain that others have probably dropped worlds--although they would probably be smart enough to come up with another reason thats unrelated to the # of teams. I would think that if he really stated that he was 'too busy' I could remove him in between seasons, and WIS may oblige. It would open a can of worms if other owners have left worlds since joining Powers.

Personally, I stayed in a couple worlds that I would rather have left--one I picked up as a midseason fill in the prior year. Another is being dominated by a tanker..but Im sticking it out for at least a couple more seasons.

3 seasons was one of their early requirements.   Having been unable to enforce it, maybe it's been dropped.

In truth, I'm just yanking your chain.   Your job, as commish of KP, is to acquire and keep good owners.  Dumping them because they dumped shobob's world is a silly idea.    It's counterproductive to what YOU should do.   It's up to WifS, who is allowing new world creations, to ensure "old" worlds don't get damaged.

On the other hand, dumping an owner who's proven to have happy feet and bringing in a more stable owner for the long haul would certainly be in the best interest of a world.
