Has a world ever reached season 30?  Does it just end?  Do you not draft that year and have no real reason to trade for prospects?

why would a world end at season 30?

...and no, the oldest world is Ruth which just started Season 18.

I thought the same thing, for some strange reason (and I cant find it now) I thought I read that each world last 30 years

It's hard to say without knowing how their databases are set up, but it's conceivable that a world couldn't continue into perpetuity due to an ever-increasing amount of data.  But I'm not sure what they do with it.  Bigger disk drives on smaller pieces of equipment are always being created, so I wouldn't think that'd be an imminent issue.  But if there really is a cap at 30, they've got 3 years to figure out what to do.

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

It hurts to set you free
But you'll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die

This is the end

Not all data is kept.   Go back and check some of your early seasons.   A lot of the minor league stats are long gone.

I know some dynasty games like Madden and MLB2K series are capped at 30 years. The old NFL2K series on dreamcast was capped at 30 or 50.

I actually had a friend of mine on a tour to Kuwait who listed as his "Best Military Accomplishment" as playing every single game during a 30 year franchise in Madden during  that tour. It was a long boring tour I must say.

All leagues end in 2012 according to the Mayan baseball calendar.

There's absolutely no reason why an HBD world shouldn't be able to continue indefinitely.  We're not talking large quantities of data here.  OP is pulling this 30 year thing out of his ***, but if they did come out and try to instate something of the sort there'd be a lot of people losing their ****.

As long as the world has people filling it and it's not sitting idle waiting for owners for months they won't stop it.

how much time does a world get to fill before it is folded?
who's decision is it?
