In a league Im in a few teams have only alloted the min number of players (20)  in the minorsand are having a few pitchers just get battered with 2 man rotations with the pitchers throwing 250+ pitches. The one team in particular has a very good ML team who has won 3 out of last 4 championships. This just doesnt seem to be in the spirit of the game though there may not be any actual rules against it.

If the commish doesn't care, i suggest looking to join a world with a commish who does care, or specific rules.

in the long run minors are important and eventually it will effect the quality of the ML team. The 1 or 2 Million saved is not worth it.  May be the sign of an owner who is not looking long term

Or an owner that intends to try and stay on top via free agency (the Yankee stradegy)

The minors are for developing players.

It's a sure way to get your prospects hurt.  Plus, to lose out on any post-season at-bats and playing time.  Screw 'em, it's their loss.  It'll pad your stats nicely when you play them.

You're talking about Satchel Paige. The problem isn't just that the commish doesn't care, its that he is the one that has one 3 of the last 4 world series by trade raping noobs and winning around 20 games his first couple of seasons. My advice is to GET THE HELL OUT!!!

Catch 22 here though.;  Id be royally ****** if my first round pick from last year got injured in his 9th AB of a 30-0 game because im blowing out some assclown that cant set his minors right.  Hes not only hurting himself.

So you think he's more likely to be injured in his 9th AB of game 1 than his first AB in Game 3 after having 4 AB in both game 1&2?  That seems odd.

Ill preface by saying I have no idea how the simulation works and how injuries correlate.  However, if I have a player get injured during the course of his 9th at bat in a 30-0 game, when it could have been avoided if a guy had not run out a starter and a bullpen of 0(0) guys, then yeah, id be ******.

For instance, one of my minor league teams had a four game series earlier this season in which we won 22-4, 26-1, 40-2, and 21-2.  Now of the players on that team, I have one particular player that will be a stud at the ML level.  In that 4 game series, he had 31 AB's.  It would be one thing if he'd picked up an injury in the earlier parts of the game, but it would be very frustrating to see him pick up an injury in his 7th or 8th AB in one of those games when it could have been avoided.

If he started the game at 100%, I don't think he'd finish it at 97%.     98% seems to be the number when more injuries occur.    That's from a very limited sample size but that's my experience.  Therefore, I don't really think the 9th AB is any more "dangerous" than the first.

Fair enough.  So injuries are only a direct reflection of a players fitness?  I figured a guy could be 100% and pick up an injury to keep him out of action.  I guess thats the way im thinking of all this (that injuries are just a random part of the game that can occur at any time to any player).

100% guys can pick up injuries.  That's why I asked if you felt his 9th AB in one game was any different than his 9th AB in a third game of a series.   I just don't think your theory holds water in that a player is more likely to be injured because he batted 9 times in a game.

I guess its just the way im looking at it.  If injuries are just happenstance, then they are gonna happen.  I think one would expect 12-16 AB's in a series to be normal so when I have a player coming to the plate 31 times in a 4 game stretch, to me, his chances of picking up an injury have increased.  To me, thats makes perfect sense.
