This is for members of the BOWIS tournament to suggest league possibilities for the tournament.

We will have six leagues. 

One league will be a $47M draft league.

The other five leagues will be determined by a vote of the participants of the tournament.

There are a few requirements for league suggestions:

1)  All owners must have access to the same player pool. 

2) There are no exclusive players or teams

3) there can't be a limit on types of teams (12 teams of all Lakers, 12 teams of all Celtics)

There will not be a running talley of votes published because we don't want to influence later voters into changing a vote because a theme they would have voted for as no chance of being one of the five.

Coley and I have final say over the rules and eligibility of any theme.

Additional note:  League rules need to be relatively easy to verify team compliance.

BOWIS League Possibilities

All Leagues are No Clones, Rookies or WW unless otherwise noted.

Open League  $42M  Rookies - Yes WW - Yes

Standard WIS Open League

Wilt League - $47M 

All players must use 61-62 Wilt Chamberlain

No Defense League Cap TBD

All players must have a defense rating of (TBD)

ODL Blacklist League - $42M

All players drafted in the lastest version of the ODL are ineligible to be used

Decades League  $52M

Everyone must draft two players from each of the six decades.  Open player from each decade must play 1000 minutes to be eligible for the playoffs.

Steve Austin League ($6M Man)  $42M

No player can be paid more than $6M.

9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1  $52M

Each player must fit in a salary range ($9.9-$9.0, $8.9-$8.0, etc)  Last three players must cost less than $1M.

Platoon League - TBD

No player can play over 2200 minutes

Great Defense League $47M

All starters must have a defense rating of 80.  All starters must have at least 2700 minutes.

All bench players must have defense rating of 50.

Unused Players - $42M

All players must be from a list of unused players.

No 3pter League $42M

All players must average less than 1 3pt Att per game.

Single Season League $52M

Pick any season.  All players must come from that season.

$$ Top Dollar League  $57M (may be raised after study)

You must use the most expensive season of each of your 12 players.

BOWIS league idea, and one of my old hair-brained league ideas:

THE SHOE LEAGUE

Choose four shoe companies, Nike, Converse, Reebok, and Small Companies Combined.  Each person chooses the company that they want to have their players from.  47 Mil Cap.  No WW No Rooks and one clone.

Small Companies could include players like Olajuwon, Shaq, Ben Wallace, Stephon Marbury, and others.  The common thing is that everyone looks at Nike as the obvious, but converse is no joke.  Bird, Magic, Moses, and Wilkins plus everyone that ever endorsed the old Chuck Taylors.  Reebok had a huge lineup of players in the 80's-early 2000's.

I believe my ol classic $6 million dollar man league meets the above criteria doesn't it?

$6 MILLION DOLLAR MAN LEAGUE

$42 million cap

No player on your roster can have a salary of more than $6 million

No rookies, No WW, so must draft enough minutes.

I dont think this league has ever been in the BOWIS, but then again, neither have I so guess I wouldn't know.

No there is not.  I did a ton of research on this with Colin about three years ago, and it wasn't that hard to find who was wearing what.  I even tested it back then and I was able to build teams with all four options that I found to be competitive.  If everyone decided to do this league I would be happy to help in the auditing process.

I really like all of nc's suggestions with one change. With the bench players being so expensive, now that the offensive pricing has been escalated, it might be a good idea to kick the no defense league up to $37 million. What do you guys think?

1) Out of your five starters 3 must be 90+ defense the other 2 must be at least 80
2) Your bench must have a defesive rating of at least 75
3) All starters must have at least 2700 minutes
4) No clones, ww or rookies

12 Man College League

Choose a college and make a 12 man team from it. All players must be from that college except for players below 750k. $42m cap no ww, rookies and clones. There are three blacklisted teams: North Carolina, UCLA and Kansas they are too stacked

To alievate any confusion we will use this as the database
