.821 is fine for a 2B. Probably better than fine. Your guy is a borderline 2B. Under the current circumstances, he's good enough. However, you're asking about the next 5 seasons. His range and power will decline at 32-33. That's the 2nd/3rd year of that 5 year deal. So now you're looking at a LF who won't OPS .821(due to declining ratings). That's just not good enough. If you're just asking, that's my answer. If you're looking for an argument and intend to dig into my teams(don't count NABCL, I took it over with 50 games left), you'll probably find a 1B/DH/LF who isn't OPSing .821. That doesn't mean I'm happy with him, it means I'm playing the best I've got. And my initial post still stands. I wouldn't give a 5/33 deal to a LF who isn't going to OPS .821 over the duration of the contract unless that was my only option for a playoff run.
