Coaching job you're most proud of? Topic

I just finished up a typical season for what I've been accomplishing at West Virginia in Tark, I went 20-9 and lost in the 2nd round of the NT my 5th straight season getting knocked out in the 2nd round and 5th time in 6 seasons I've won 20+ games. I went 12-4 in the 2nd toughest conference. So nothing special, however I botched recruiting horribly this season and pulled this off with just 8 players 1 of which was recruited as somebody I didn't even want to give minutes to for the next couple seasons but out of necessity he played. I think this is far an away my best coaching job as I managed to pull out 9 wins against fellow NT teams and beat two top 10 teams despite every game being at a huge depth disadvantage. Here is that team:

What are some of you guys proudest accomplishments?

I'm a relatively inexperienced coach but this past season at St. Johns was my best job. 1 junior who was new to the team, and all the rest of my players were sophs and freshmen and I made it into the NT

Ripon in Rupp D3. Made it to the NC game with all my players, only 1 SR, and a short bench as my players' decided to party instead of going to class right before the CT:

Season 38, George Fox, D3 Wooden.  I submitted an app for what I thought was the best team.  I had 2 open schollies, got two transfers, battled a D2 for one of them.  Lost one game all season and won a National Championship.  I left after that season.  And this is in Wooden, a very competitive D3 world.

Season 46 in tark. I took temple to the final four. That was a bigger achievement than even winning my d1 title I season 11 of tark. It is darn hard taking a10 program that far in the NT since potential was introduced & having the rich big east schools nearby

Definitely my NC season in D2 Knight, season 23.
I had one of the most talented teams in D2, with by far the most depth and my team was extremely well-rounded. Until this point, my team just couldn't push out of the first, despite our talent. I couldn't figure it out early in the season, but I tore through conference play. I beat my only actual competition, another top-10 team,  in my conference three times, including in the conference tournament finals. I was considering myself the underdog for every game after the first round, not because the computer said so, but the teams I was playing had either just as much talent or coaches who had won a NC. Yet, I still knew I would win the NC that year, there was no way anyone would stop me. Felt good. Then I left for D1, got a Big6 job right around the time that the recruits changed, hated it, and moved back down to D2 where I am an average coach..

I would have to say my current DIII N. Central team in IBA. Last season I made the sweet-16 with 4 seniors, 3 of the best players in my teams history. 1 conference POY, 2 first team All Conference, 1-3rd team all conference and 1-3rd team all-American. I finished the season 26-7 ranked #21. Needless to say I probably should have made it further in the NT but as they say that is how the cookie crumbles.
So this season I expected to be a down year, starting 1 Sr, 3 Jr. and 1 So. So far I am 12-3 and 5-0 in conference play, with an 18 RPI and #39 SOS.

For me, it was taking Iowa St. to the final four as a 13 seed.  We were better than our ranking, but it was still big.  It helped my prestige and then I won a national championship 4 seasons later thanks to some of the recruits that came because of them.

Mine's a bit obvious- Season 21, Allen.  The only time I've ever made a DI NT.  It's too bad life got in the way, I think I may have actually built a decent team at Alabama St.

A close second was season 15, Allen, when I took over Ashland, and they went from 228th in RPI to the NT.

I'm still bitter about our elite game. I was beating teams by almost 30 points per game and thought I held all the cards. You ended up running me off the court and winning by 25. I gave up overf 40 points more than my season average and scored 12 points less.

For single seaons it would be Season 29 Allen, where I won the NT with Maine.  The maturity of the world gives it the edge over the only perfect team I've ever had, the 35-0 monster that was Manhattan in season 15 of Tark.

As for longer range achievements the 9 straight seasons I got Manhattan to the Sweet-16 or better is probably superior to the 19 straight seasons I won at least 1 NT game with Henderson St in Smith (as anadeau24).
