Never seen MJ go first, but guards are dominating lately so why not...
7/26/2011 11:07 AM
Rodman @2 is a shocker (to me anyway).
7/26/2011 2:06 PM
Rodman provides dominating rebounding and defense plus positional flexibility.

He would never go anywhere close to this in a RL draft, but that is life with the sim.

Wilt finally goes, rounding out the more-or-less obvious top 5.  You could make a case for a couple more being in there especially at this cap level.

After some thought, Rodman is as good a pick as Wilt given his SF eligibility.
7/26/2011 10:42 PM
Rodman is #1.  The only reason you don't pick him #1 is if you pick Lebron.  Lebron's 3360 minute season is incredible for $42m cap leagues... now that this is $47m, you can probably get away with using his 09 or 10 seasons.  But Rodman is absolutely worth the #1 pick and could be considered a steal at anything below it.  What he gives you for the salary you pay is hands down the best deal in the sim... and that includes multiple versions that can be a 3 in addition to a 4.

And I seriously think Dwight Howard is top 5... His 10-11 season is the stuff sim dreams are made of:  tier 2 usage, super high efg%, great at getting to the line, great defense... oh, and he's an elite rebounder.  He plays defense, too... and this was his highest stl% season.  Only reason I take Moses ahead of him is that Moses has 3390 minutes.

I wanted 10-11 Dwight so bad - haven't gotten to use him yet.
7/27/2011 7:25 PM
I like Big O where I got him because of the position flexibility as much as anything. Well, and the triple double season is really cool.

I would have taken C. Paul other wise, who sure enough, mikee took right after me.
7/28/2011 11:44 AM
I thought I reached for CP3 but I do not regret it. I've wanted to use him in a draft league for a while now.
7/28/2011 12:12 PM
Trying something new with Gilmore.    ODL draft is certainly out of the box lately!  Nice to see people take chances.  The older version was more or less rote for the top 15.
7/28/2011 1:39 PM
Gilmore's a great pick at 17 - was the main guy I was considering, along w/ Magic.

shaq at 20? seriously? hes top 10 imo....shaq plus whatever stud eleibowitz adds with his 2nd round pick(some good ones will be there too) will mean trouble for this league

who else is putting up 30/11/5 while shooting 60%?...those are mvp type numbers...hes so easy to build a great offensive team around

oh and to answer my question...only barkley and kareem(i hope) come close...the season im using is very similar to shaqs best season...hopefully he will do as well as shaq always does for me

damn jakotay...was hoping to get daniels with my 2nd round pick haha....thought he was still gonna get slept on for losing some of his defense rating....what made you take him so early?
