Funny I'm sitting at my desk at home and I feel my chair and desk virbrating but it's so subtle I think it's a gust of wind. There were kids outside playing and they never stopped so I didn't think anything of it and then my girlfriend texts me telling me there was an earthquake, and then it made sense, lol. I'm in NYC so pretty far from the center but apparently in midtown midhattan the big buildings shook a fair amount, some were even evacuated.

I feel so left out. I live in North Jersey, but didn't feel a thing.

Not that I know of, beyond things that were broken if they shook off the wall or a shelf.

EDIT:  Apparantly there is some pretty significant damage at the National Cathedral in DC

Felt it at my house in Portland Maine.  Was sitting on the couch watching tv and thought I was getting vertigo or something...things just subtly move.

I'm in Charlottesville, VA, just about 35 miles from the epicenter. Our office building shook pretty good.....wow!
