So that leads me to some questions.
First, I think you're right about rebounding. Both Fields and Leone will end up 95+ there.
Second, totally agree about the speed. Still have some room for growth there, but not enough to be an elite speed team. The question is, though, can I get away with five or six guards at 70-75 speed, or do I need a couple at 80-100. What if it's something like 60 ath/70 spd? What about speed in bigs? Helpful, of course, but Is necessary that I have 30+ speed in bigs?
Third, I thought man teams could get away with lower staminas. Obviously more stamina helps, but I didn't think that was as big of a focus. Do I just need more stamina than I have, or do I actually need to match the press teams'?
Thanks.
You can get away with 72-74 stamina if you run slowdown, but I don't like the slowdown from 2 reasons.
First, suppose you are facing a team that is worse than you. You should want to speed things up to generate as many possessions as possible to maximize your advantage. Think about it as you facing LBJ in a one on one pick up game. If the game is to 1 (so whoever scores first) you might have a shot of winning. Get the ball first, throw up a prayer shot and hope it goes in. Game to 11, Lebron will take you out every time. Same thing here, against teams that are worse than you, you want to run uptempo so you are not in a 50 combined possession game and lose by 2.
Second, more stamina always better, especially against the press. Press teams fatigue faster and foul more, and the foul part is especially true when the players are playing tired. If you can run uptempo against a fcp team and get them to tire down the stretch, you improve your chance of winning by a wide margin. This applies to m2m opponents as well. Team with 82 stamina going against 72 stamina, the 82 will win alot more games assuming everything else is equal.
