One of my favorite progressives was one run by our old friend bulantz. It was a typical progressive with one exception. You could only keep 8 players from season to season.
It made for some tough decisions when keeper time came along, and also made for deeper draft pools each season. I felt like it gave teams who were rebuilding a chance to get back to contention quicker if they made good picks.
So in honor of Bulantz I would like to revive this format.
The only major change is going to be making it a 16 team league. The fact that AAA players played such a major role was the one down side to the original version.
So it will be 16 teams, 4 divisions starting in 1962.
Draft order for 1st season will be determined by random.org.
Draft will be snake style for season one.
Teams will also draft a ball park in use in 1962.
We will draft until all players are chosen.
Trading is allowed including trading of draft picks one season ahead.
So how about it?
