have at it fellas....im not doing full evals(thats only the ncih52's rule) so feel free to chime in at any time with whatever....the more participation the better the league is

- id love to hear from jethro on why he refuses to take one of the fab 5 when he has the first pick

- the commish surprised with the bird pick much to the delight of eleibowitz(i would have picked howard if mj went) and myself

- dr j made a huge leap back to the 1st round

- big ben keeps going earlier...with good reason

Well, the top 10 is almost the right top 10, just in the wrong order (Bird being the one that doesn't belong).  Bird as a 2-guard is borderline top-10... as a SF, meh.  You'd better be loaded on the offensive glass at every other position.

Dr. J is a big Wt. F - at best a mid/late round 2 pick (even at 2-guard, the only place you should consider playing him).  Love his 54% efg season, but you gotta load up on threes elsewhere (which is hard to do and get the boards you need).

Oscar seems too early, too, but at least you get him for 3500+ minutes.  I just hate that you are paying all this money for stats that he'll never come close to achieving.

Wade does what Oscar is supposed to do and is better defensively.  Seriously.  Compare their advanced stats and you'll see what I mean.  Wade's insane usage actually let's him do offensively what Oscar did IRL.

Big Ben is going right where he should.

last time Scud had Magic in this league, I'm pretty sure he won.  Why the hell did he get him at 17.  He's another point that should have gone before Oscar.  The only thing Oscar does better is his minute production.

Wait... let me take a second to let this register.

Magic Johnson really did just get drafted 17th.  Okay, it's registered.

This is my first draft league, did I take Garnett too high? The way I saw it, he gives me position flexibility (SF, PF, C) depending on how the rest of the draft shakes out.

Does anyone have a list of last seasons draft?
2/17/2012 11:41 AM
1. No.
2. Expand the Theme league listings from "last month" to "last six months" it will show ther last ODl draft.

and generally speaking, don't worry about what anybody thinks. Everybody is always hating my teams, and my last 3 results ere lost Conference Champ, lost Conference Champ, lost Finals.

I was looking to do something different, so I decided to give Bird a try.

I hear you, appreciate it robo.

Garnett's pretty much not worth it as a 4 or a 5.  As a SF, yeah, you took him in a great spot. If you end up using him as a 4 or 5, then yeah, it's a pretty big waste.

tough to say with garnett since he gives you soooo much and is probably the best rebounding 3(besides rodman and maybe barkley if you want oreb over dreb) but he also costs a ton for someone i wouldnt consider a #1 scoring option....imo its hard to figure out how to get a teams usg% just right around him and have enough cash to do so

2/17/2012 4:42 PM
If Robertson makes 65% of his actual numbers, that is 670 rebounds at PG.

With 25% usage, 26% Assists, and 2.0% steals, I'll take my chances.

His ONLY negative is the turnover's, and some of you may have noticed that I am meticulous about keeping my team TO's low.
2/18/2012 12:17 AM
very, very rare does another owner predict accurately the fate of one's team, robo. you should know that. oscar's a force whether he goes 1st, 8th, or 24th. relax, bro. ash is just gettin' in your head early. haha. you're startin' to be a threat to his domination.
2/18/2012 12:43 AM
not saying he's not a force.  He's just not worth what he costs.  25% usage is terrible for someone like him.  The ONLY way the advanced stats benefit him is that he ends up with less turnovers than IRL.

I am confused- the ows events at Chapel Hill occurred Nov 13th. Did the CH police re-arrest Friday? And they would on a Friday to make it tougher to post bond.

Usually some one can Bail off a credit card at any City/county lockup. Does anybody know what county Chapel Hill is in as arrest records are public docs and can easily internet checked.

This is really, and deliberately, ****** up if he can't get out until Mon.
2/18/2012 2:22 PM
um... ah... i live in china, robo, had no idea ows was even in chapel hill. was just making a tarheel connection.
