HAHA! I have officially started the thread for this season, which is still in the job stage as of now.



Right now, the Heartland conference as acquired a new coach, bowen_brian, and one more has said he's applying. That leaves us with one opening, and a hunger to catch the CVAC!

Anyways, Yarnell talk should begin soon, as should talk of recruiting and ever-too-early Final Four predictions (btw, anyone got any?). GL to all this season!

The CVAC has a full house this upcoming season......DII Iba is just getting more competitive. There's more parity in the CVAC - looks like us (Longwood) and Pfieffer will take steps down a bit due to losing key players. Limestone should be good. 

The CVAC is traditionally strong, and with the full house and the fact that Longwood isn't so freaking amazing this year (although, still a top team) I'd say the CVAC is wide open.

I dread seasons like this one.  Incarnate Word will have an *EXTREMELY* high pre-season ranking (the all caps and asterisks indicate high-high potential for our team ranking). 

We promptly go 6-4 in non-con and fall out of the top 25 and I battle all season long to get back.  I've seen this before.

dave, I've seen this movie before and I know how it has ended (the last few times), but in a game like this flukes happen, and I view your underperformance in some recent NTs with good teams as a fluke.  You are a great coach.  I fear IW this coming season.  You are going to be lethal.

Pre-recruiting, I pick Incarnate Word as the champ for next season. They return too much talent from an excellent squad.

I think the CVAC might get 7 or 8 in the NT, but doesn't have one dominant team. 

St. Mary's is down this season too, but I think we should still make the NT.

West Florida is fighting for the PIT, in case anyone is following our progress... 

I see Seattle getting back to the top 10 this season. The team is still a little young, but should finish this the season strong.

lame Coffey and Pelchat both went undrafted

I haven't seen any DII candidates get drafted in quite a while. Wonder if the logic changed?

Belmont Abbey will be the top dogs in CVAC, most likely... they return 10 players.  Limestone hopes to make a strong case (returning 9 players, but lost 3 very good seniors).  And until Longwood and Pfeiffer are knocked aside they are the studs in the West conference of the CVAC.  Not sure if my team will have the horsepower to be top dog in the West, even with both those teams *slightly* rebuilding.  Should be fun.

Chico is the class of the CCAA.  This is a huge recruiting year for me at Stanislaus.

After last year's "eh" recruiting class, I get another chance to right the ship at West Florida. I have very few scorers, unfortunately, as my main men over the past two seasons have graduated.
