I put a lot of thought into some new improvements and here they are. Hope you guys like them and hope lots of people comment.

Recruiting- I think that you should be able to promise a start for a player in their sophomore year like in Gridiron Dynasty. I think you should be able to choose what you talk about during a home vist or Campus Visits. Like Playing Time, Perstige, Campus Lifestyle, Coaching, Location, Conference Perstige etc.

GamePlanning- I think you should be allowed to choose who guards who and certain spots in the zone. When you call timeouts and how often you have subs come in. I also think you should pick who your go to guy is in a clutch situation and be able to make custom plays they run in clutch situations.

Tournament- Their should be Preseason tournaments say like 3 or 4 and each would have 16 teams and you would have to accept a invitation to each. You would get asked based on last seasons RPI. I also think their should be bracetology instead of projection report  because then you could see what seedings you would be any who you could be matched up with. I think they should have locations of tournament games so 1 seeds would have a small advantage.

*Coaching Contracts- This is a wild and new idea I want to throw it there. I think coach's should get contracts with money but it would be money you would spend in the game. It would work like you would get to have your own college's hometown. It would have a arena, restraunts, hotels, training center, school. You could spend your money upgrading these places. For Arena you could buy upgrades such as more seats, new floor more food stands and bigger student section which would make your homecourt go up. For restraunts it would just attract more fans. For hotels its for the same reason more fans. For training center upgrades would make your players train better and treat injurys better. For school upgrades it would make gpa's higher.

Thanks for the comments hope Sebele looks at this. Make injury rate higher too!

As for the recruiting part, you'd probably need to add recruit "preferences" as well. Are they looking for good academics, night life, or program? Then the "what to talk about" would make sense.

I would love to see the zone get a 1-3-1 and also and box -and-1s and the like.

The extra tournaments idea I do not like at all. I'm okay with bracketology though.

That sounds too much like an app or SimCity or something, and that is not what I want.. Coaching contracts should be based on success and reputation, and indirectly effect recruiting, or not be added at all.

Scouting - limit the amount of times my guy can come back from his scouting trip with the same info on stats. If I send 20 visits and still can't get feedback on a guys PER I want to hire a new assistant

You "can" see who you're matched up with and what seed you will be on the Projection Report already.

Yes. This is a simple, easy fix.

I would actually like to see errors in the projection report, right now it feels too perfect to me. A team that's 37 in the projection is going to be a 10 seed, a team that's 22 is going to be a 6 seed. I would love to see a team "projected" as a 7 seed end up a 5 seed or a 9 seed from time to time.

I actually brought up the scouting trip thing to CS a while back, and they said it was something they would consider (allowing us to indicate what we wanted to be scouted), but as yet nothing has come of it. I think it would be cool if there was the standard scouting trip, where it's cheap, and then a more expensive scouting trip where you pick 4 areas you want feedback on. I think that adds another layer of strategy.

This was mentioned in another thread recently, but advanced stats(PER, +/-, etc.) would be great.

I think the ratings should be somewhat obscured. Ideally, you would hire a scout or assistant coach who would be better or worse at knowing what a player's "true" ratings and potential are.

I also think you should be able to hire assistants based on the offenses and defenses they run. These coaches would impact IQ development. They might also be graded on how they impact different player ratings (hiring a coach who's great at teaching rebounding means your players' rebounding ratings increase faster, etc.)

There might also be trainers who would specialize in treating different types of injuries. This would impact how quickly players get back to full strength after an injury.

These things wouldn't have to impact the numbers that much. But if they conferred even a modest advantage, it would open up entirely new things for us to obsess about optimizing.

I like the idea of coaching contracts, not so you can spend money but so that open colleges from the level above offer successful coaches who are in the league below. I just like the idea that I get an e-mail after having a final four run that a D1 school is interested in hiring me... they will give me 4 year contract etc.

- Any thought given to having coach contracts with years that need to be renewed? It is similar to the exceeding expectations or not meeting, but kind of more interesting.

I always thought running a zone defense and setting an opposing player to be doubleteamed was basicially the equivalent of a box and one (pretty sure WIS even uses this analogy in the FAQ or 101 or something). It would be nice, however, if a coach could specify exactly which defender is the "and one" portion of the equation.

I don't think that's true. Tark tourney starts tonight. Tennessee was the first of the last four in, so presumably they were 4th from last. Yet they got an 11 seed. The 12 in their region is Maryland, Eastern Shore, which was 2 spots lower than Tennessee on the last projection report, and was not listed among the last 4 in, so presumably they were better than 4th from last...

Maryland Eastern Shore was a conference tournament champion -- they wouldn't appear in the Last 4 in as those are strictly the last four at large teams to make it into the tournament.

Be able to use recruiting carry-over to invest in "prestige" (i.e. new arena, facilities, better trainers & assistants, sexy tutors, etc.) and boost your team prestige. A sliding scale so Big 6 teams would have to invest more to get the same boost as a middie who was investing less.
