Sometimes, themes out there can be overly restrictive or just uninteresting. Or sometimes you get an idea for a theme, but you know it would be nearly impossible or just boring to fill an entire league around that one theme idea. In this league, you get to avoid all those problems because you're the one choosing your theme, and no one else can use it.

Build a team entirely of guys named Dick, an all-Yankees squad, (almost) anything you want. If you want to pick a theme that uses some randomized variables, I'll be happy to do the randomization for you to get started.

Additional rules:

Themes must affect all 25 players on your roster. No offense-only or pitching-only themes.
*Continuing this season* - No stat-based themes will be allowed. So nothing like "All my hitters will hit over .330 and my pitchers will have OAVs under .200". Your team should have an actual theme and not just stat restrictions.

Describe your theme details when signing up so I can verify rosters easily...I'll reserve the right to deny a theme if it offers virtually no restrictions at all (For example: "My team will not have any players named Zeke" is not a reasonable theme).

Please try to choose a team name that somehow identifies your theme.

I am going to do The Babe Ruth Years - 1914-1935.  My pitching staff will be from the years Ruth played and pitched for the Red Sox (1914-1919).  My position players will be from the time Ruth went to the Yankees until he retired (1920-1935).

Pitching staff - - 1914-1919
Hitters   - -   1920-1935.

Given my history in this league, I'm pretty sure that my theme should be Players Who Suck, but I've got something just about as terrible, but way funnier...

My theme will be guys with names that would make my 12-year-old self giggle.  Every name will be some sort of sexual innuendo/reference/slang.  Dicks, Johnsons, Willies, Peters and so forth.  Of course, my bench will make room the immortals Dick Pole and Johnny Dickshot.  Not sure if Rusty Kuntz will make the cut, but he's definitely invited to spring training.  Who knows, maybe Wang can pitch too.  Can I introduce you to my closer, BJ?

And if you don't know who my first baseman will be, you were never 12 years old.  I also consider the Furbush-for-Fister trade to be the greatest in history.

All my players will have worn the same number on their jerseys in either the tens or ones column.  I'm going to use 5, so any number in the 50s, 45, 35, 25, 15 also work.

It does sound close, but I think there's a good chance your rosters could be quite different.  I'll allow it.

I'll play again. Theme TBD.  I have a couple of ideas I will work with ths weekend.
