Also want to point out 2 statements in particular from that ticket response: "We have sent a ... ban to many users for their additions to this Forum thread" and "We realize that ettaexpress is the main owner that is not abiding by our FPG's [sic]."  Based on the fact that he responded to my prior thread, ee is clearly not banned.  So apparently they either A) lied to me or B) banned someone that they acknowledge is at lesser fault but not the person primarily at fault.  Either way it's a big issue for me.

If ANYTHING happens to the OP of this thread as a result of this issue, I will be asking for a full refund as well. What nonsense.

In the interest of full disclosure, it's worth pointing out that I have on numerous occasions in the past made comments regarding other users that certain could have merited a warning under the FPG/TOS for forum use.  Maybe or maybe not in the HD forums, but certainly in the MLB forums and the political discussions in the Non-Sports General Forum.  I have also been called a number of things myself - things likely including "arrogant" and "clueless" as well as much harsher terms, many of which involved plenty of profanity.  Support has handled the influx of complaints poorly, to say the least.  But a great deal of blame also goes to all the users who decided to start reporting things to support in the first place, particularly things that didn't come close to crossing the line of what's generally viewed as acceptable by the forum users in general.  If I threaten your person or your family, report that.  Definitely.  If I throw a few incredibly innocuous criticisms of your personality, relatively speaking, you don't report that.  I don't blame ee so much for this since he'd already been reported in the past.  I don't really know the circumstances surrounding that, or whether it was truly warranted.  It was certainly out of character.  Typically we deal with people by some combination of browbeating and ignoring them, depending on the user and sometimes by turns.

I find it funny that they want to ban everyone but the instigator.  I got a sitemail too, and I'm just jabbing at etta because he's a chooch (with some pretty strong words mind you).

Why do you let the guy who talks **** about your best game, that wants a full refund, run rampant with redlining and all this other bullshit.  WIS is so obnoxiously looking at the wrong end of the problem here, it's ridiculous.

Etta = not good for WIS, AT ALL.

I would never leave the site because of ettaexpress.  I would leave the site because of the treatment I receive from support.

Right, me either, but WIS should ban the **** out of ettaexpress, he's simply a nuisance.  Instead they would rather sitemail 50+ guys and say, don't respond to him...uhhh, are you ******* kidding me?

The funny thing is, WIS "support" has so bungled their handling of this issue, that they've managed to unite users who previously didn't necessarily get along.

The problem is support is right. The best thing to do is ignore that dude. Continually engaging him is the worst thing t o do. I am no saint, I couldn't stop either.

Just ignore him, block him and m o 've on.

I thought it was kind of funny that I actually had Dahs on my block list (I don't remember why) when this started.

You think they're "right" to have sent warnings out to OTHERS, instead of just banning the one who was the root of the problem? I'm going to have to agree to disagree with you on that one, I guess.

Everyone has been wrong the last few weeks.

I'm not saying they're wrong about that.  But to threaten forum bans, and then defend it based on my using the words "clueless," "arrogant," and "self-absorbed," as if that weren't utterly ridiculous - when in fact I'm quite sure they didn't pay much attention when they sent the warning in the first place and don't want to admit it - is what I really had a problem with.  And it became a MUCH bigger problem for me when they closed my thread complaining about it.  Because that had nothing to do with ee, at least in any meaningful sense.  They just didn't like the existence of a threat criticizing them.  And that really bothers me.  Freedom of expression is not guaranteed in these forums, but in general I'm not interested in supporting a site that relies on totalitarian restriction of anti-company press to minimize opposition/complaints.
