The Decade Draft League

DDL#6 - It's the 80's...Magic & Bird ruled the roost.

  
 
"Players that were great in their day..are great again in the DDL"

The DDL (Decade Draft League) explores the history of Pro-Basketball one unique era at a time. This season smokey & the 'WayBack Machine' will visit the golden era of pro basketball....the 1980's. The "WayBack Machine" only seats 24....all aboard!!!

Commish: smokey57
Format: Single season, Forum Draft, Era Limited, Single Instance player availabilty
Forum Draft: ABBABABABA draft sequence. Rounds 9 & 10, two picks per round. A,1-24 / B, 24-1
Random Draft Order: Random Draw
Random Division Assignment: Random Draw. Prior to beginning the draft, divisions are randomly drawn, assigned and posted. Division assignments cannot be traded. Team rosters are updated (RBD) as the draft proceeds. (helps to know who's in your division during the draft)
Era:  1980's (will change with each new DDL)
Available player pool: WIS players, seasons 1979-80 thru 1988-89 (set your filter..smokey hates the word "oop's", 12 games in)
Team salary cap: unlimited (build a beast...lol)
No clones
No Waiver Wire
No Rookies
No Net
No Whining   Well maybe alittle..but only during the draft.

                                          DDL#4 (50/60's) - cmcafeeky
                                          DDL#5 (3rd millennium) - ????

The DDL is a 5 season draft league that has 3 decade drafts (70's, 80's & 90's) and 2 era drafts (50/60's & 3rd millennium). You are not required to play all 5 seasons, it's al carte. The full series take about a calander year to play. In the DDL you get to use players that are not normally used on the BB sim, in some decades we use +70% of the available player pool. The DDL is a great way to tour the history of pro basketball and the first year was a blast.
