.....did the big boys miss a kid like SFA's Thomas Walkup? Dude is a friggin' MONSTER!

BOOOOOOO! Hey man, I'm an ACC fan through and through but SFA deserved to win that game and go on to the Sweet Sixteen. That was a fun bunch to watch play. Happy another ACC team advanced but it wouldn't have bothered me a bit had Notre Dame not tipped that ball in. Thomas Walkup deserved to have one more game in the spotlight, kid did it all for his team.

wow wasn't even rated by anyone. He only had 10 points/gm 4.6 assists as well as 5 blocks/gm and 1.9 steals hardly amazing numbers although all around average.

Although his brother played at Texas A&M, A&M messed that up.

WIS equivalent of a guy with cores like 40 across the board or something but all blue and 80/90 WE. that grows to a D2 POY and D1 schools are upset they missed or a low end D1 schools scouts and nabs him.

Not super athletic, have you been watching him play. Ridiculous statement theonly. He was one of the most athletic players on the court against WVU and ND

He was the best player on the court for both games.

I'm didn't mean not athletic, I agree he was one of the most athletic players in both games, but he's not NBA athletic or quick like people are saying that he's going to get drafted, he's nothing more than a 2nd round pick

And look at him in high school this 6'3/6'4 skinny white kid that averaged 10 points a game his only other offer was Houston Baptist..

wonder what sort of game he had in high school

I didnt see him as well as many others because I was in the upper level at the venue rather than watching close up on tv - but I did get to just focus on him for parts of the games

not big, but plays bigger than he is

real quick first step - but probably not elite athleticism from what I saw

consistently in the right place

strong, so he could play through contact

How much of that was detectable in high school?

Basketball IQ pretty high... I mean, that's something we never take into consideration... Paul Pierce, Kansas, dropped to 10 in the draft because he was not fast nor athletic enough... but he had the IQ...

I think Walkup has a shot at playing overseas in Europe where the game is less physical and players aren't as fast and big as you see in the NBA.

I agree off the charts IQ, looks like a stud overseas.

Is it his motion IQ or flex IQ, man or zone IQ? Kid can't jump.

Not entirely true, those stats were his junior year. Senior year averaged 25.9 ppg and 8.5 rpg on 62% shooting.
