Quit crying about Beta. Topic

OMFG! People need to quit being such little toddlers about this. I have been playing this game since 2008 and from what I can see the beta is not going to hurt one damn thing. It might even help the mid majors land a recruit from time to time. I am so sorry the Big 6 teams have to "click" more. Oh the horror of mouse clicking. You still have to coach the teams once you recruit them. All the adults, and I use that term loosely, crying over a beta is laughable and annoying at the same time.

I've only played DII and DIII and I've been playing since 2008 as well and for the first time in a long time, I'm considering hanging it up. I don't mind the scouting change. I find it interesting. I think the idea of only seeing discovered recruits and holding camps is intriguing. I strongly dislike the recruiting in Beta and recruiting is one of the areas of the game I actually enjoyed. Recruiting was not the problem in this game. Tweaks could have been made, but a whole new system was not needed.

All I play is D2 and D3 right now as well. 6 teams. I don't see one bit how this is going to hurt recruiting. In fact I think dynasties will be easier to create at D2 and D3 now.

I can't speak for others, but I never said it would hurt recruiting. I just find the entire process cumbersome now and it doesn't appeal to me. With that said more than hurt recruiting, don't be surprised to see the world's get a lot more empty and if you were here in 2008, you remember the exodus after potential, which compared to this is a minor change. If the worlds see a drop off like that again, this game will be hurting imo, and there is not nearly enough marketing to replace the number who may leave.

I disagree, potential completely changed the game. Much more than the recruiting change will.

I think recruiting will work out as I see it, it solves some problems. I will talk about the problems solved once it's done. Scouting needs to be taken care of and it needs to make sure DIII or DII aren't left behind.

There is only a problem : if there is no hard cap for players to be recruited, I think it will become a bit of joke if a DIII team get incredible D1 players while SIM teams get crap. Same with DII. And prestige has to play a role... I hope it does.

Agree to disagree on this one. Potential introduced caps on player growth and scouting to find potential. Recruiting itself didn't really change. The only real adjustment with potential was the guys you were willing to recruit. This update is a complete overhaul to recruiting and scouting.

The biggest reason is that several "tools" have been made by third parties that will no longer work. I am with you tex, it is new to evrybody.....Suck it up and get over it!

Six month's after it goes live, they will have new recruiting tools, and shortcuts, and know exactly how to "game" the new system. The sooner they get over these changes, selbe can start working on the "core" problems that MUST be addressed. And if my bottom tier teams are able to compete and even get one recruit someday, somehow, it will not kill anybody.
And the "real elite" Coaches will rise back to the top soon enough. That is a promise.
