I do think I agree with this after thinking about it for a long time. At first I was against the idea, but I have changed my thinking because some of the recruits that are going to D3 schools are unrealistic, and there are plenty of D2 players that are very solid that could still build up a D3 program nicely.

Talent pool of D2 is plenty. No good reason for D1 projected players to be at D3 for it to be fun.

I disagree. Going after D1 recruits at a D3 school is one of my favorite aspects of the game right now.

I second this notion.

At the same time, I understand that it is unrealistic and can be kind of silly to those coaching above the DIII level, but from my perspective as a coach that has only been at DIII (about to take a DII team in another world), I love going after DI recruits. Makes things more fun to me personally.

He's a D1 player, but I agree with what I feel to be the spirit of what TJ said. No D1 school should be wanting that guy as their prized recruit. He's what used to be borderline lowest tier D1/ A+/A prestige D2 dropdown. He's a nice looking player, but he wouldn't be much of a gamechanger for most D1 teams.

No definitely not a gamechanger or a prized recruit. But he is a D1 player that can certainly contribute on some lower D1 teams. Saying he's not a D1 player implies that no D1 coach would want them on their team and I don't think that's true.

He's not going to be starting for any D1 team with any postseason tourney aspirations, for sure.
