Even with 14 speed?

Meant to include Moxley in the original post as an option. But I like my 3's to have passing and speed.

See for me defense is important at that position and so is passable rebounding.

Still Moxley jumped out. The backup really isn't as important. Clearly two seniors will be PF/C and the other will be their backup.

Agree with moxley. Gotta polish sim turds here so you don't have tons of great options. Moxleys ath/def is great. Plus, once the IQ improves the 77 LP will turn him into a great scorer at the position. Love me some SF with high LP.

I would probably lean towards Moxley as well. Purpura wouldn't be a bad choice, either. Fox could be a decent option if he has a lot of potential and you want to really galvanize his improvement.

I guess I'll play contrarian here -- I'd start Currie. Here's why:
  • Fairly strong ath/spd (for your team) with the tilt towards speed. SF is the best position (out of SF/PF/C) to take advantage of this Spd.
  • Fantastic LP/Per combo for a D3 SF, he'll be able to score most efficiently out of any of the guys you listed, especially in the triangle.
  • BH/P is the strongest of any candidate you're considering for the SF spot.
  • You can emphasize your rebounding strength with three really solid rebounders on the floor at the same time, it'll allow you to go + more often (which is beneficial, as people generally slide distro towards their guards against a press) and still maintain a rebounding advantage.
I'd go Schweikert at PF and Venezia at C.

I'll second Currie, and since thimble took care of most of my reasons for preferring him, I'll just add in that his offensive and defensive IQs will have him outperforming Moxley the entire season.

Plus Pearl City HS is right down the road, so I have to favor the local boy ;)

Schweikert.

Starters:
PG - Ames
SG - Fox
SF - Purpura
PF - Moxley
C - Venezia

Backups:
PG - Firestone/Phelps
SG - Phelps
SF - Currie/Keller
PF - Schweikert/Keller
C - Hockenberry/Keller

And play slowdown as much as possible.

The other option is to just start and play your freshman as much as possible and with the understanding that it's going to be a long season. This is usually what I do with a team that I am rebuilding. Good luck!

Appreciate the input guys!

Is it a press team? If so, I would go Fox. He's your 3rd guard....

You just can't play him at the 3 in a press team, he'll kill your steals....
