Crazy athleticism at D3. He's getting 5 points a game from the free throw line too.

He could score even more.... The only thing that prevent him from being unstoppable is his poor FT%.

So at D3 if you have 80+ ATH, you don't really need high PE or LP to be a great scorer?

Not when the athleticism is so much higher than the defender. I had a great scorer at D2. He had sub-30 LP, but his athleticism was in the low 80s. It makes a huge difference.

Wow, I knew ATH was important but not to that extent. Thanks for the info!

I think athleticism is the most valuable attribute in the game. It affects offense and defense and rebounding.

Ath is needed for any good teams. Zone in DII or DIII with a **** ton of speed is the only way one can get around that. Rebounding and Handles are the next more important. Scoring is just there. I've had so many 1-4 seeds in DII with no scoring at all really. One of them went to the final 4 with a leading scorer with like 20 LP and no per (and 98 sp 90 ath 85 Bh)

There are lots of ways to win and no one attribute is more important than the other (well, kinda).

The game is a mixture of skills, you need good players with the right synergy of attributes.

Ath is really important and you can't ignore it but there are plenty of ways to wins without having a top 10 ATH team.

I consider a good team S16. I think you need top 50 ATH to get to the Sweet16. I wonder how many teams that win titles do not have Top 10 ATH (Excluding Walkons from averages).

Different level, same idea.

Fifty is probably about right, most S16 teams probably have that as an average ATH score.

Average ath score is misleading though. Teams with 5 bigs or teams that treat SF more like a post player than a guard are going to have higher ATH scores that teams with 6 guards.

You definitely need a combination of different areas. You could have half a team with great ATH and DEF, but crappy Stamina or horrible rebounding. So many factors to consider.

yeah, in d3 if you have a guy that has high ath AND spd along with def they are basically guaranteed to be a decent scorer and a very valuable player. If you were to look at my current Redlands team, i try to get 1-2 good guards who have decent BH and Pass and a couple good rebounders, then with the rest I focus on ath and def.
