#9: A submission from the same author as the Tucker riddle.
  • I briefly burrowed into the cold college game before setting my sights on a warmer climate.

High points in low places: in addition to the obvious bad boys / low rep connection, Detroit won the 89 title in low elevation Los Angeles, and Detroit itself isn't exactly in the mountains.

Nice, yep that all fits. Plus for the tracks clue the Pistons have had logos with a horse in them.
