My season depends on it.

He does like large sums of money, in small denominations. Unmarked bills of course.

When I play zone I, 2-3 (-5) him. In man, I tend to go slow down -1 to prevent fouls.

You have to prevent him from getting to the line and shooting 40+ FTs. I suggest slowdown and probably 0 or -1 to minimize fouls as much as you can. Your defense is decent enough to slow him down in the paint. I worry about your freshman PG against his PG that averages 33 a game. I'd consider sliding Finley up to PG and starting Rast at SG since his high IQ might also cut down on fouls.

I thought about this too... but I'm worried that'll make Finley foul out quickly, which would mean I'm completely screwed.

I'd go slowdown -5. EFF it. You're gonna foul a bunch anyway and I don't think it really changes fouling all that much.

Slow down 2-3 zone -5. It has a chance to work.
Even though you don't have the IQ, you will still give up a lot less fouls and shut down his dribble penetration, inside scoring. compared to pressing.

I would go slowdown -2 or -3, but with a never adjustment at halftime

My opinion doesn't necessarily matter, but to me giving this kind of detailed information in response to a "how do I beat one specific team" on the forums isn't really sporting before the game in question. Maybe over sitemail, but certainly not here.

I also felt like it wasn't really an appropriate question. "How to beat an ATH/DEF oriented press team" is a reasonable thread. "How to beat Dickinson," even if it means virtually the same thing, doesn't feel right to me. But maybe I'm alone in this. If nothing else, I'm not going to feel as good about a victory if I crowdsource it.

My thoughts exactly dahsdebater. Good luck, but beat him on your own merit.

You are not alone.

My thoughts when I read this thread.....

First, I had a thread made about me for a nice gesture I made to help another coach out with getting a specific job when all the glitches were happening.

Second, man I wish THIS was the thread made about me instead!

Third, I was surprised people responded publicly. Not the worst thing I've seen. It's also not really a hidden topic, as we all know what mfnmyers is trying to do.

Last.... where the hell is mfnmyers?! I'd be having a fit by now if I was him! (But, with a smirk on my face and thinking "damn i'm a good coach!')

Well, I got destroyed anyway.

It wasn’t my intention to start some existential debate.

I think it’s just as interesting to explore individual matchups as it would have been to get into what would “thoeretically” be the best lineup (zone, of course).

Anyway, way to ruin the fun, you know who you are.

This is why we'll never have nice things.
