Leading all recruiting on a d1 recruit (I'm d2). No one above moderate. I continue to pump in 80ap. This past cycle a d1 coach moves from very low (I couldn't even see him because this site is really awesome and can't figure out how to show the full list of schools interested in a recruit) to high then wins in the same cycle with a 24% to 76% chance.

Fun game. Have fun with it. No wonder worlds are empty.

It sucks, I agree. However, everyone has been on the right and wrong side of these before.

What frustrates me the most is the site not showing the full list of teams. I work in coding. It's such an easy fix and yet they neglect everyone who asks for it. How are you supposed to prepare when a team goes from not on the list to having signed the recruit all in one cycle...

If the list stops in the middle of the alphabet I just assume other humans are on there.

It's part of the risk of going after DI recruits as a DII team. I've lost a lot in that position. I've also lost while a huge percentage favorite. You can lessen your chances of getting sniped by a DI coach by going after Early or By End of Period 1 recruits. They won't sign with you then, but they will sign pretty early in the second session, before coaches at new DI jobs can try and salvage a first recruiting cycle by sniping good recruits from DII teams. Also, find recruits who want to play. This will also lessen your chances of losing out. You can offer a Start and Minutes, maybe the DI coach can't.

The ten team limit on the Considering List sucks. Most of us hate it. But like toad said, assume someone is always lurking. It sounds like you did everything you could and were just unlucky at the end. Try not to get too frustrated. It tends to even out over time.

If WiS is really into the 10 team list, they should show only humans, not sims if the list is more than 10. I'd rather see it in order of humans then sims instead of some bum sim teams.

This is all good advice. I've definitely lost D1 recruits before. I've done a lot of rookie mistakes with overshooting on recruits, etc. This one just stings cause its the first time I've had the 10 team limit really mess me up.

Hopefully the new hire can help with some of these annoyances.

I totally agree with this - It is really frustrating that they can't even chip away at the very simple fixes. Why should a team that starts with U have an advantage over a team that starts with an A just because of the alphabet.

For those of you holding your breath (note the answer is before the request, which I've made before recruiting started every season since January):

Thanks for the feedback - this issue is already on our list for consideration. There aren't any immediate plans to make a change, but we understand the importance of this limitation, so it's certainly high on the list.
Thanks for playing on WhatIfSports.

The Consideration List only allows you to see a maximum of ten teams when recruiting. It is inherently unfair and makes it impossible to make choices as to where to spend dollars. I have previously requested we add a "Scroll Down" button but you have indicated this is a low priority.
What is ahead of fixing a flaw that affects game play? Will this be addressed at all? IBA recruiting has just begun and I have two potential recruits I can't see if teams lower than Georgetown or Morgan State are pursuing them. If i choose to spend money on a player being pursued by a team or teams I can't see, it is wasted.
Can I get a status update?

You're one of those guys that complains about the refs, aren't you? Accept it for what it is and either play it or don't.

Going after early guys doesn't help either. I only target Early and EoP1 guys because of poaching. And it still happens. I understand that going in to recruiting tho.

What I'd like to know tho, is if we could do an anonymous poll for those of you D1 coaches that use this strategy.... is it strictly strategic for you? Or do you find joy in ripping my heart out season after season? Haha. I am really curious about that!

But I like what one coach said on here.... once the list of schools gets past 10, just "expect" there to be humans below. That way you're prepared for what comes after.

(side question too.... are there any coaches out there that select jobs, and think "no, that school is too high up in the alphabet. I'm going to move down to a T school"? And if so.... you're evil! Lol!)

Both! Muahahah

"But I like what one coach said on here.... once the list of schools gets past 10, just "expect" there to be humans below. That way you're prepared for what comes after."

I don't really like this type of thinking. I want to use the information that is given and make and educated guess about what to do. This isn't an educated guess- its juet a flat out shot in the dark guess. Of course you will never know everything but in this case, there is no reason not to have this info shown.

Apply for the .NET Developer job and fix it yourself then. I agree that it’s probably an easy fix, but there’s also the fact that there is one developer for this whole dang site. “Fixing the considering list” is probably backlog item #2500.

And I don’t think fixing the considering list would actually provide a remedy for your problem. If D1 human wanted to be crafty, he could have been slowly applying AP while sitting at inconspicuously at VL until he decides to offer the scholly and tons of HV so he jumps to VH in one cycle and you still woulda been ******.

Recruiting is more fun at my M to Z teams. Stealth recruiting I see them but nobody see's me!
