Would it be easier to build a C+ prestige school in a low level conference or a D prestige school in a power conference?

C+ prestige team in a low level conference, no doubt whatsoever. You can quickly turn that team into a B/B+ team depending on how full the conference is.

But which one would bring you more satisfaction? Build Morris Brown into a CT champion in an empty conference with a first round NT exit every season? Or bring Rutgers within a sniff of .500 in a full conference where you have to game plan every conference game?

That was my #1 reasoning..... however, if it was easier to build prestige up on a power 5 conference team, I didn't want to lose the opportunity.

Considering I just applied to a school in a small conference that Roy can't seam to beat recently makes it unlikely that he would want to help me out any right now.

Problem is I'm returning from a hiatus, so I have to pick a team to return to. Sadly even all the decent C+ prestige schools are rebuilds. I don't see any teams that are ready to win.

Is Rutgers the only Big 6 school you're qualified for?

They have a B- baseline which is lowest you can go for B6. I'd rather take a B baseline mid major and then move to an A baseline B6 school later.

There are tons of jobs open in A10 and all those are B- or B baseline. Or you can take Memphis, UNLV or utah. All of those jobs are better than a B- job in a B6 conference IMO
