Which teams have best/worst color schemes? Topic

After having to stare at the obnoxiously bright yellow and purple of LIU Southampton for the past 5 seasons I’ve wondered quite a bit about the various color schemes in HD.

with that being said — I was curious what teams you guys think has the best color scheme in HD, and who has the worst?

Best: Florida A&M

Worst: Providence

IRL, I'm fully on board with the possibility of UNLV renaming itself the Flamingoes and adopting a black and pink scheme.

Anything with purple makes me vomit.

I kinda like Providence's actually.....

As for UNLV I think that'd be cool Black/Pink is such a great, unique combo and the Miami Heat have already proven it can work! I bet it would boost recruiting by a lot too. HS kids wanna be on TV in those sick jerseys

Yeah Florida A&M is awesome but man I think I'd get sick of that if I was the coach.

Weber State and Northwestern are my favorites.

I hate Colorado/Army.

Yeah Vice City jerseys are all the rage. Love the black and pink night ones, but man, I think the powder blue vice cities are pretty awesome.

Funny, just yesterday i switched after one year at D2 Western Colorado, which has a pale red that was giving me a headache... to Fort Lewis, which is an awesome color scheme and makes me feel like I'm at the beach... i could stay at Fort Lewis a long time just for the colors.

Providence is my real life favorite team, so i'm a huge fan of the gray, though i can see it might be considered dull. Actually, PC in HD should really have straight black and white, like D1 Long Island and D3 Bowdoin.

Back to Providence-- the black and white uniforms, especially the road throwbacks they wore this past season, to me are fantastic. Now every freaking college seems to wear black, i mean c'mon, they're copying us. Why the feck is freaking DUKE wearing black for? Back when i was old enough to follow college hoops in 1977, PC was a national powerhouse, and our black jerseys were bad-a s s...

Back in like 1980, there were only 4 sports teams with a primary black with either white or silver as their secondary... Providence, the Raiders, the Spurs, and the White Sox. (the Steelers had black but yellow was a strong secondary color). The move to black by other teams got kicked off with the LA Kings in the late 80s early 80s when Gretzky arrived.

Ok, off my soapbox.

I was with you on the Black primary color rant, until you got to stupid about only 4 teams in 1980 ...

Texas Tech has been rocking the Scarlet and Black since 1926 (we only got started in 1923)

Lol raider,
Right, but I'm talking NO secondary color... so the scarlet at Texas Tech takes them off the list.
The Steelers have great black jerseys, but their yellow takes them off the list.

Oakland had silver and black.
San Antonio had the same.
The White Sox had only black and white from 1976 to 1981 or so.
And Providence had black and white (though for a couple of years they added yellow piping). We added silver in like 2005.
Every other team had a non-black/silver/white secondary color in the 1979 era.

Real life Big East, every team has blue involved except the Friars. Even newly-returning UConn.

Scarlet is a color, but not silver and white? Hey I'm all for calling out the BS big12 teams with their "alternate" black unis, when it's not a school color - I'm looking at you bu, tcwho, isu - but when Tech doesn't make the purist list of black is a school color, well thems just ...
