The 2020 season just began. How will these players fare? With a 60 game season, will WIS pro-rate to 162 games?

If so, we could some awesome players to look forward to drafting. Someone will get hot for a month or 2 and hit 25 hrs or bat .400 and suddenly we have a WIS legend.

I think we will see an overall good overall pitching season, especially relief. Quite a few big name players are sitting out, Buster Posey being most notable, so there will be more rookies in the lineup. Relief pitchers make less and are less likely to sit out.

Conversely, we may not see a pitching superstar because 1 bad outing can weigh your stats down in a 12-13 start season.

Grizzly, won't it be prorated? So 25 IP/ 162 games = 9.25 IP /60 , so probably 9 1/3 IP cutoff.

No, they still gotta hit 25 IP

Yes, unless they decide to do something different this season, WIS uses a hard 50 AB, 25 IP cutoff for inclusion in the database - regardless of the number of games. See also 1995, 1994, 1981, 1972, any pre-1961 season, etc. It's always 50 AB, 25 IP.

Given today's news about the Marlins, I will be very surprised if MLB is still continuing any attempt at a season one week from now. Playing any team sports right now is reckless and irresponsible. Shut them all down.

A 60 game season was meaningless IMO. A MLB season IS (and should be) a marathon. 60 games is a historical aberration. Should have NEVER been considered. Talk about an asterisk. Why bother with any attempt at a season?.................. except some $$$ for a bunch of already very wealthy owners!
