Why do leftists always want to restrict speech?

I could actually explain this, but you probably don't want to know the answer.

Joe Rogan, from what little I've seen of him, strikes me as fairly unintelligent. He'll have some real insane people on his podcast, and allow them to go off on completely idiotic points without pushing back sufficiently. The one exception to this would be Ben Shapiro. I listened to a bit of that one. God bless him, Rogan did his best.

Why do people say they are retired then repeatedly come back to post inane theories?

Nobody is watching Joe Rogan and Alex Jones to be enlightened. Those podcasts are very entertaining and the source of a LOT of memes.

Nah, you're wrong on this. There are people who watch or listen as a primary or important source of news or political analysis.

Well I meant specifically the Joe Rogan and Alex Jones podcasts. When you say he lets insane people go on idiotic rants with no pushback, that’s what comes to mind.

When he has former FBI employees, and other Mixed Martial Artists on, yeah people listen to learn, instead of listening to laugh.

You really think that no one listens to Rogan seriously when he has political figures on? You think that no one listens to InfoWars seriously?

If so, you're delusional.

Trump going on Jones’ show was Pandora’s Box.

Yes. When Alex Jones and Joe Rogan do a podcast together, it’s the most entertaining event of the year. Maybe some old farts listen to Alex “they’re turning the frickin frogs gay” Jones seriously, but for the most part, a vast majority of the people understand it’s a joke. And that’s why Rogan lets him rant uncontested. He understands the concept of content.

Yes, that’s why Sandy Hook parents had to move from their homes and can’t visit their children’s grave. Because the vast majority understand it’s a joke.

Even if I were to accept that the majority of people who might listen to Alex Jones on Rogan's podcast are just in it for the memes, there will still be large swaths of people in Rogan's massive audience that will buy into the rhetoric. That's dangerous.

And suppressing Alex Jones would only make his small fanbase that takes him seriously more radical and aggressive. Letting his theories being expressed and publicly ridiculed is a much better course of action than deplatforming him and giving these “they’re out to get him” types more wood for the fire

His theories were well known and ridiculed.

Then Trump used him for his campaign and gave him credibility so....
