Scattergories, Season 12

Scattergories is a "blind draft" league in which teams are built with owners submitting lists like the table-top party game "Scattergories."

In Round 1, all owners submit a list of 12 players.

• Any player submitted by only one owner becomes part of that owner's team, exclusively.
• Any player submitted by two or more owners is eliminated from the player pool.

In Round 2, each owner submits a list of players equal in number to his remaining roster spots.

• For example, if you submitted 4 unique player names and 8 duplicates in Round 1, you would make an 8-player list in Round 2.
• If you have 9 players after Round 2, you would submit a list of 3 players in Round 3, etc.

This process repeats until all 12-man rosters are completed! (It normally takes 5-7 rounds)

Rules

• Owners may submit their Round 1 ballots via sitemail to zora4preside as soon as they're ready.
• I have my Round 1 ballot ready, and I will reply with my ballot to every the first 3 submissions each round so you can verify that everything is on the "up and up." (I will also reply with my ballot to any owner who requests it).
• Beginning Round 2, owners will have a maximum of 72 hours to submit their ballots. I will be strictly enforcing this rule. Holidays, weekends, etc. will not be excuses.

Please submit your lists in the following format:

Jack George
Red Rocha
Robert Harrison
Don Lofgran
Robert Zawlouk
... etc.

• Make sure your spellings are correct.
• Do not include the player's position or additional info.
• Do not include commas or use bullet points
• Do not use last name only or "last name first" format or use nicknames, etc.
• You do not have to include the player's season. You decide which season to use when you build your team.
• No salary cap, no clones

I like to have the option to submit early then edit my ballot, and I imagine some others might as well. If I could please request that you don’t send your ballot back to me I would appreciate it.

I made the following amendment. I've already sent my ballot to the first three owners to submit their lists..

I have my Round 1 ballot ready, and I will reply with my ballot to every the first 3 submissions each round so you can verify that everything is on the "up and up." (I will also reply with my ballot to any owner who requests it).

Bump - great league guys. Let's get a few more and get going.

UPDATE:

We still need 4 owners!

• 19 of the 24 owners from last season are back...
• bds9992 (former commish), dskantor and ronsouth1 are out.
• We picked up 1 new owner (bsubroncoos)
• I'm going to give another sitemail to the remaining 2 owners who played last season but haven't confirmed "in" or "out" (20ks & buffalo_rob)
• Even if they're "in," we'll still need to pick up 2 new owners: Ask your buddies to join!

Prospective owner asked if he needed to select each player's season when submitting his ballot.

Answer: No. If you get the player, you choose his season when you build your team.

No salary cap, no clones.

Now just 3 spots available.....
