Basic Concept
12 team progressive league starting in 1920. A full draft will be conducted in the forums and will be snake style each round. Ballparks will be drafted as part of the initial draft.
After initial draft, all owners will assign contract lengths to each of their players with the combined number of years not to exceed 60. Once a contract length is determined, it cannot be changed or voided. Traded players maintain their contract length with their new team.
At the end of each season, all contracts will automatically shorten by one year and players who were in their final year will become free agents. That will give each team 25 contract years to allocate to rookies and free agents during the offseason. Draft order in future drafts will be worst to first in all rounds with a win floor and draft lottery.
The Win Floor will be 40 and the lottery will be for the four teams with the worst record excluding any teams who failed to real the win floor. Any team not meeting the win floor minimum will draft 5th in the draft will all other teams ordered based on regular season record. Round two and beyond will be worst to first with no win floor or lottery aspect.
League Rules
- League Format will be 6/6 with 2 playoff teams and yes to balanced schedules and interleague play
- Initial alignment will be random and then stay the same thereafter
- No AAA, no WW, no DH, and no clones allowed
- Transaction deadline enforced and injuries on
- Trades allowed, provided the 60 season rule isn’t violated; draft picks may be traded up to two seasons in advance.
