With Alex Ovechkin about to become the new goal-scoring king, I came up with an idea to celebrate the great goal scorers we've seen in this league.

The basics: You will choose 1 forward from each of the groups below, and will clone him 3 times. You will choose 2 defensemen from the list and clone them twice each. You will choose 2 goalies from the list below. Everyone will choose the same 3 scrubs (listed below) who will never play. Injuries will be set to 0. The salary cap will be $180 million, so you won't have to worry about which versions of each player you want.

Combos will be exclusive, so you must declare which 3 forwards, 2 defensemen, and 2 goalies you want. If you want to enter a 2nd team, it must be completely different from your 1st team, except for the scrubs obviously.

i think i misunderstood. when you say clone the foreword 3x do you mean we need 4 in total of that one player, so that our team will be totally made up of the players we have chosen form the list ?

That is correct. On your 1st team, you'll have 4 Gretzkys, 4 Robitailles, 4 Bossy's, 3 Orrs, and 3 Bourques.
