RRR – And Now For Something Completely Different

Do not be overwhelmed by the length of what follows. Your task is simple, (sorta), just cut the 20 forwards down to 12. The rest of the team has been done for you. The number you choose, from 1-24 will randomly give you a player from each category below:

(A) 1 center who scored .5 goals/game at least 4 times (38) (M - ink alm)
(B) 1 center who scored .63 goals/game at least 3 times (15) (M - remises)
(C) 1 center who scored .75 goals/game at least 1 time (21) (S - art west)
(D) 1 center with .75 assists/game at least 3 times (47) (Y - zen army)
(E) 1 center with .9 assists/game at least 2 times (27) (G - glaze ft)
(F) 1 center with 1.15 assists/game at least 2 times (6) (cal h)
(G) 1 center with a d-rating of 89 or more and less than $5.5 million (38) (C - lye cow)
(H) 1 center with a d-rating of 88 or more with a salary > $5.5and <$7 million (43) (L - iron oval)
(I) 1 RW who scored .5 goals/game at least 4 times (65) (N - lend nary)
(J) 1 RW who scored .63 goals/game at least 3 times (21) (M - mall manic)
(K) 1 RW who scored .75 goals/game at least once (27) (R - dr chair)
(L) 1 RW with .75 assists/game at least 2 times (22) (D - hard rag)
(M) 1 RW with .9 assists/game at least 2 times (13) (S - lo suits)
(N ) 1 RW with a d-rating of 89 or more and less than $5 million (16) (N - air pen)
(O) 1 RW with a d-rating of 88 or more with a salary > $5 and <$7 million (26) (gun yo)
(P) 1 LW who scored .5 goals/game at least 4 times (42) (C - local runt)
(Q) 1 LW who scored . 71 goals/game at least once (20) (hut st)
(R) 1 LW with .75 assists/game at least 2 times (14) (K - ozark vip)
(S) 1 LW with a d-rating of 89 or more and less than $5.5 million (25) (R - say arm)
(T) 1 LW with a d-rating of 89 or more with a salary > $5.5 and <$6.9 million (26) (F - refines)

That gives you 20 forwards. You need to cut that number to 12. No restrictions on how many of each position you may draft. You can have 8 centers and 4 RW’s if you want. You may choose any season for the player you receive. The ONLY restriction is you must draft the player who fits the criteria. For example, alphabetically the 1st center who fits the 1st category is Adams. The only Adams that fits the criteria is Jack Adams. You do not have to draft Jack. He could end up being one of the 8 players dropped.

The 12 you end up with are the only players you are responsible for drafting. Your d-men and goalies have been drafted for you.

All d-men have salaries under $7 million and the d-ratings range from 93 to 99. No team is without a 99 d-man. You must use the player, however, you are not bound by the d-rating I used. For example, you may use a season where the salary exceeds $7 million, or a season with a d-rating less than 93. Your choice.

Each team has 2 goalies. The 1st (main) goalie has played close to 90% of the games and has a save percentage of 92%. The backup goalie has played very few games but has a save percentage of 93%. As with the d-men, you are not bound by the criteria I used for the goalie; you must however use the goalie you received.

All teams will use the same 3 scrubs: the 165k versions of Helman, Godin, and Krulicki.

I know this all may sound a bit overwhelming, but once you get the team your selected number corresponds to, it should be easy. So really, just like most RR’s in the past, right?

So what’s the “completely different” all about? Let me show you a possible team…actually I already showed you 1 player that fit for the 20 forwards. They are contained in the 2nd bracket. To make things different, all players names are anagrams. If the player’s name contains 5 letters or less, you will need to solve it on your own. If the name has >5 letters I will give you the starting letter. If you don't immediately see who the player's name is that uses those specific letters, you have 2 options:

Go to the draft center and input the player's position and just the 1st initial of the last name. Search. There should be only 1 match for the letters of your anagram. Option two: go to the website I listed at the very bottom in red and input the letters of the anagram and see what pops up.

Salary cap - $130 million.
No ML’ers, no WW, no shootout, No lasting injuries or suspensions, no trades, no Mario or Wayne
