Can roster 2 pitcher and 3 batters *or* 3 pitchers and 2 batters from Group E
Can not roster more than 500 innings from seasons 1901-1919 ('03 McGinnity exception)
No to clones, AAA, WW, Trade, Salary Cap
Yes to DH
Yes to combined or partial seasons

The draft can start now (off the clock). We officially go on the clock Wednesday. If we get a complete the first round before Wednesday, I will shift the schedule up so round 2 starts on Wednesday.

I thought I wanted the first pick in this draft but now looking at the long-term logistics, the obvious choice is not so obvious.

I'm sure I will regret this, but I'll start us off with: 1916 - Group A

1917 (Group A)

Every time I participate in a White Sox-themed draft, I always end up with a pitching-heavy team that finishes in the bottom of the standings in runs scored. I end up losing a bunch of 3-2 and 2-1 games. If I'm going to lose, I may as well lose games 10-8 and 8-6.

1920, Group A

I had 2020 all typed in and ready to submit. Since we are picking right next to each other, the 5 seasons you end up will probably be similar to what I would've taken had I stuck with my original choice. I assume you would have taken 1920, had I passed on them?

To be honest, once I saw Shoeless Joe Jackson on the 1920 team and you picked in front of me, I never considered it. "You can't sneak a sunrise past a rooster." Having Shoeless Joe Jackson, Eddie Collins and a very good Happy Felsch would be hard to pass on, and they all have good gloves. You have to like your team and having them on it would be a lot of fun.
