Just wanted to say congrats on the #1 seed, that's a big deal in this conference. Good luck in the upcoming Conference Tournament. It'd be nice to just win the tournament and not worry about getting a bid, eh? No pressure :)

Best of luck in the Conference Tournament!

of course, we do have a bid locked up, but it'd be nice to be ranked after my season ends, which means I really would prefer to avoid more than one loss the rest of the way.

I hope some of those West teams get stronger next year (and/or the East teams stay at the level they have now), for the sake of my team's RPI. I expect to come back stronger than I am right now, despite losing Goines and Carroll. Byrd should step in admirably, and Carey I expect to hold his own. What's-His-Name will be helpful if he returns, but for the long-run health of the team, it'd be just as helpful if he leaves, I think.

I'm a little superstitious, so I'm not going to break down the matchup for my first round (or second, if I make it).
Suffice it to say that I've looked through their record and seen a pattern of how to defend.

Well, that was a crazy game, and obviously, I'm thrilled I won. In this game, I ran an uptempo press/zone -1...a number I arrived at by looking through Vandy's losses and seeing that the teams all played between a 0 and a -3 (but mostly in the 0 and -1 range lately).

Goines had a nice game here despite not scoring that much.

Speaking of Goines, he was just named as the third-team All-American center. Not too bad for a fellow who only got one scholarship offer, and a reluctant one, at that.

So far, so very good. I'm extremely pleased to make it to the Sweet Sixteen this year. My goal for the season was to make the postseason at all, whereas my goal for next season was to get ranked and be a lock for the NT and make a run. I've arrived a year ahead of schedule. At this point, I think we might be capable of making a deep run, but I am fully satisfied with what we've accomplished so far.
In the meantime, Kutztown has also made the Sweet 16 and Danny Hartman has climbed into the top 25 of all-time leading scorers for DII. Right now he's sitting at #24, but if he has a 22 point game next, he'll get up to #21. I love seeing my redshirts succeed after I leave a school.

Coach, it happens every year - teams that are supposed to be 'locks' for the Sweet 16 get knocked out early. Thankfully, this was not our year! Congratulations and best of luck in the Sweet 16.

Fordham is ranked 14th at this point, so we're definitely going to end the year ranked, which was another goal of mine.
For the first game in the NT, I ran an uptempo press/zone at the 0 setting. Western Kentucky had 11 losses, so there was plenty of data available on how to beat them.
