I'm not embarassed, but I'm ashamed that uncleal is one of us.

Well, we certainly don't want him to convert. Guess you all are stuck with him.

If he converted, maybe he'd see how much easier it is for you guys to turn two! You should take him under your wing.

Can they get together to make the video? A little collaboration couldn't hurt.

Did you read the thread or just the last page?

I read the thread.

we need more threads like this. maybe there's someone on WIS who thinks being a 5 foot 5 inch first baseman is an advantage.

Clearly it would force the other infielders to focus more, to hit the smaller target. You got some tall drink of water like Richie Sexson over there, you can just toss the ball willy-nilly and he'll probably still get it. It encourages laziness and bad habits.

You put David Eckstein at first, you really have to bear down to get the routine out.

Quick, someone make an OL team, put Freddie Patek at 1B and play a bunch of live games so we can figure this out.

It's very simple. To turn the double play, a y 2B has two options, both of which uncleal assures us are simple and efficient.
1.) Fling the ball like a Frisbee, because it's just an old wives' tale that you have to throw across your body
2.) Keep your feet planted but spin your torso around like a pinwheel, being careful not to end up in traction.

I have a second baseman in HBD named y Aldridge.
Alas, he is not -handed.
