Seble, hope you're still reading this after all these posts. On a positive note, I really enjoy the WIS product and was spending borderline obsessive amounts of time on it, which is probably the main reason I've tried to cut back. But in terms of ways to improve it, a lot of good ideas have been well spoken for here, so I guess I'll throw my two cents in on the frequency of updates issue.
In the past I'd get frustrated with updates that would effect squads mid-season, as they would often derail teams I'd put a lot of effort into building under the existing rules, and changing the rules midstream is one sure way to upset the consitituency.
On the other hand, we seem to be in the midst of the opposite extreme, and very quickly all the lineups seem to be morphing into Moses, Rodman, Peja, Allen, and Chauncey. It's remarkable that given the thousands of player seasons to choose from, every WIS vet seems to be caught in the dilema of either cloning a winner, or creatively losing.
To me there's a happy medium, and that is to have more frequent updates whenever inspiration strikes, whether big or small, which will at least let us users know that we haven't been abandoned, WITH THE CAVEAT that whatever changes are made do not effect leagues already in progress.
All the best, ya'll.
