nah Swampy, the repugs seem to only believe in lowering taxes on the rich and powerful as low as possible.  The rest of us are fully and completely responsible for ourselves no matter what.  This is what the repubs believe in, especially the tea baggers, deny it if you wish, but you know this is the bottom line truth.

The Bush tax cuts are a great example. Everyone who paid taxes got a cut.

This class warfare promotion is going to backfire on the Democrats this time.

So because a radio pundit and a Judge came to the same conclusion about a Supreme court case you find it proof of some kind of colusion?

The question we all need to ask ourselves is...

Are Big Corporations the problem or big Government?

Easily it's big corporations... Ever heard of too big too fail???

..If they had a mentality, that is.   But for now, they all just play tag-team stupid.  That's why I like them.   If they were grownups, they would be pathetic, but as perpetual children,  their grade-school rantings are somewhat entertaining and mostly harmless.

I was debating on faceook about the Detroit takeover and I posed the same question...Are the problems big government or big corporations.

One of the people responded with a vary matter of fact...Of course it is corporations, even you know they are evil.

He assumed that I knew that Corporations were evil and just wouldnt admit it.

You havent looked at any jobs figures at all have you?  corporations havent been hiring at all, despite insane gobs of cash sitting in their coffers, and overall very very good profits.  Not to mention all the bailouts and subsidies and corporate welfare they have received, and continue to receive.  Nearly all the job growth in N America is by the SMEs, and that group hardly gets any respect (or handouts).  Why is that?  Its because that group cant afford to lobby like the big corporations do.

Tax revenue?  Come on now, surely you have heard about how GE doesnt pay taxes, nor do countless other big business, and all the rest of the other big business entities have so many loopholes that they dont pay taxes anywhere near the stated 35% corporate tax rate.

Products?  You mean how the vast vast majority of products that are made in China for pennies on the dollar then shipped over here to be sold at huge markups?  Why is it that you repubs have no problem with any of this?

1 The reason no one is creating jobs is because Obama has tied up capital in his agenda. He is supporting "Green jobs" and attacking all other corporations. As far as Obamacare either you are on the faovred list or you are screwed. And SME is a European Socialist term. SMBs here!

2 How mant times is that one company mentioned. Tons of money comes from Corporations.

3 Market forces like low costs. Between Unions, lawsuits and regulations American companies cannot compete.

I forgot..how much tax do Unions pay?   Oh, it's the union Workers who pay taxes.   By coincidence, corporation Workers also pay taxes.
How is it that Unions that are non-profit always have money sitting around to give to their lefty political bottom-dwellers, but it's unfair for a corporation to do that?   What IS the difference between a corporation and a union, except that corporations can be fined and have law judgements made against them, but you don't want Unions to have to do that?
Unions, guilds, corporations, associations, federations,...all just groups of people getting together for their own good.  How you label one as greedy and harmful, but the others are OK - well, that's your problem.    Stop demanding a paycheck and working for whoever you work for, and take a stand!!!

ok, simple fix here.  Take away all loopholes, ALL.  Then create tax incentives.  For every American that one of your countries corporations hires they get a 75% tax credit.  For every person they hire outside of America they get 1 of those tax credits taken away.  So if a corp hired equally in the states as they did outside the states they get to pay precisely what they should pay with no tax benefits whatsoever.  If however they hire all Americans and nobody outside of the USA they could wind up paying no tax whatsoever.  But the jobs stay home.
