My pick is the 52 Pirates

I didn't leave enough empty spots on page one for the second, third, fourth round and dagger picks to be put there.

Still, all the teams taken, who owns which teams, what pick we're up to are all on page one.

I have tried to copy the current timeslots onto each new page of the thread..

In a few picks I'll post the third round timeslots. Contrarian's team will get two picks in a row. That means the team screwing him will have very little time to find a good match since the second round team would have just been given to Contrarian.By the luck of the draw, it turns out jonstephen is the one screwing Contrarian in the third round. I contacted jon and he was confident that he is organized enough that he could get his third round pick in by Sunday afternoon. If those first few third round picks drag a bit, understand the screwing manager has very little time to look at the team since the second round team was just granted.

fatguyrd selected the '82 Phillies, a decent overall club powered by a strong starting rotation. There are a couple useable arms in the bullpen, but the lineup outside of Mike Schmidt does not offer much.

Of the teams that are left, it looks like the '62 Washington Senators, a second year expansion team, offer the least help. No arm on the staff provides 200 innings. Only Claude Osteen has a WHIP under 1.3. Bullpen options are uninspiring. Like the '82 Phils, there is only one threatening bat in the lineup in Chuck Hinton, and nobody's going to mistake him for Mike Schmidt.

jonstephens 82 Expos are pretty decent. Let’s see if you can find 6 useable players from 1972 Phillies.

You can try to roster 14 mil Steve Carlton but not much else useful from that pitching staff. The offense is pretty bad too, with Greg Luzinski ( 18 homers) the best hitter in the bunch but his D/D+ defense comes with him.

I've posted the third round timeslots on this page.

Remember the rules on positions. You must have 2 c, 2 1b, 2 2B, 2 3B, 2 ss, 5 OF and 10 pitchers.

However once the season starts you can play anyone at a position that he has a WIS rating for that year.

Last time we did this I had two good secondbasemen, Lou whitaker and Bobby Grich and one good shortstop Allan Trammell. Trammell go daggered. Rather than play my next shortstop who was crappy I rostered two cheap shortstops and both my good secondbasemen because Grich also had a rating at short. I thought I was being quite clever until Grich made about 110 errors at short. It's something to be aware of anyway.

Just to keep us moving, I will give vilefileman the 1932 Browns, without commentary
